Yeah, yeah... we know. Fat Tire supposedly is like eating out a hobo's asshole. Whatever.

Only if it was a particularly clean hobo, who has been eating a steady diet of roughage.

I mean, I realize that the rest of the country is 20 years behind they U&L when it comes to craft-brewing(and yes...they truly are), but seriously...

I don't get it. It's nice to have an alternative to corporate pisswater...but Ass Tire is just straight-up disgusting.

And save your "different strokes for different folks" bullshit. Man has made beer for thousands of year, and in those thousands of years, the smart ones have learned a thing or two about a thing or two.

New Belgium can't be called "smart ones" by any stretch of the imagination. I guess they call that swill an "amber" even though it doesn't in any way, shape, or form resemble an amber. Matter of fact, it doesn't really resemble anything. If I had to desribe it's full foulness, it's like Budweiser with piss and molassess in it. Absolutely no balance, no "marriaging," or anything else going on in it that makes good beer...good.

It's like they throw a bunch of mystery ingredients in a vat and hope for the best. Truly dreadful stuff -- which is probably why the judging panels have rated it as such at every tasting event I've been to (which is a bunch of them).

HORRIBLE beer. Just horrible. But then again, most parts of this country don't have access to anything particularly good, so any break from the corporate death brew comes across as "good" to them.

Geez, if you're in SoCal, upgrade to the Stone products. Being Joe Homer, I don't get behind many "imports," but as badly as I'd like to, I can't crack on Stone -- good brewery, and is always a hit at the events up here. And Ass Tire is always laughed at for consistantly being the worst in show. ALWAYS.

Heck, I'm sure Sierra is avalable in SoCal -- while vastly overrated, their products certainly aren't bad.

Damn....Ass Tire... that shit's RANK.

I didn't read all of that. Really.

If you didn't get the gist the first time, your take on Fat Tire is tiring... LIke it was 20 posts ago.

As long as uninformed douchebags continue drinking it, I'll continue posting about it.

Only when the criminally bad New Belgium Brewery is demolished will I get off my soapbox.

So there.

Sierra Nevada used to be pretty good....but i think it's gone way downhill in the last 5 years or so. it's just not as good as it used to be. same with Red Hook.

i was a big fan of Bert Grant's beers, inna day.

I'm not a Fat Tire zealot like many around here, but it's much better tapped than bottled. the best Colorado micro is Mountain Sun/Southern Sun....but they don't bottle. pretty good food too, for a brewpup.
