Move along, nothing to see here.
Actually though, he would probably be an upgrade to Huard, Brooks, or Walters so from that standpoint burying him on the Bolts roster is probably better than seeing him in Red or Black.

Exactly.
That, and it does provide a little security at the QB position to have a backup who has thrown at least one pass in a live NFL game.

Does that link work for us casual fans? I'm a hardcore College football fan if it helps.
Please learned me.

No way. I''ve been a Bolt fan ever since I started rooting for the Bengals and Bears. I'm very knowledgeable when it comes to winning percentages.

The San Diego Chargers acquired veteran quarterback Billy Volek in a trade from the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a 2007 sixth-round draft choice. The draft choice could become a fifth-round choice if Volek participates in 50% of the team’s total offensive plays in ‘06.
“We’re excited to add Billy Volek to strengthen our quarterback position,” said General Manager A.J. Smith. “We’re always exploring ways to upgrade the talent on the Chargers. Billy brings talent and experience, and adds depth at that very critical position.”
Volek, currently in his seventh NFL season, has started 10 games over the past three seasons. In those 10 starts, the 30-year old has thrown for 2,789 yards, the most passing yards by any quarterback in his first 10 starts dating back to 1970. In 24 regular-season games played, Volek has completed 312 of 517 pass attempts (.603) for 3,505 yards, 26 touchdowns, 13 interceptions and a quarterback rating of 86.9. He has not seen regular-season action thus far in ’06.
Volek, 6-2, 214, out of Fresno State becomes the third quarterback on the Chargers’ active roster, joining starter Philip Rivers and rookie Charlie Whitehurst., the team’s third-round choice this season out of Clemson.

I think it's a good trade. They got a solid backup for virtually nothing and can probably ship him for a 3rd or a 4th this offseason if they don't want to keep him around long-term.

Why do grown men still go by the name Billy .... ?
At any rate, SD signed the redneck.
I'd like to slam this deal somehow, but I really can't.
Thanks for the heads-up, e.
Per warning, my hatches have been bare for quite some time now.
