We on this board know Sgt. Knox as the soldier who had the Iraqi children spelling out O-H-I-O while holding up a Buckeye flag. (somebody feel free to post it in here)

Unfortunately Knox was killed over the weekend when his patrol came under fire from enemy forces. He was just 21.

Rack Knox and all of our fine men and women in the services.

Story.....

LAST UPDATE: 9/19/2006 11:29:55 AM

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The Defense Department says a central Ohio soldier has died in Iraq from injuries suffered when his patrol came under fire from enemy forces.

Sergeant Adam Knox was killed Sunday in Baghdad. The 21-year-old was assigned to the Army Reserve 346th Psychological Operations Company based in Columbus and was a native of suburban Hilliard.

A spokeswoman for the Army Special Operations Command says Knox joined the Army in 2003 and had training to become a psychological operations specialist and a parachutist. She says his company was mobilized for Iraq in February and deployed shortly thereafter.

Knox is survived by his mother and a brother.

As much as I'd like to, I can make no jokes here.

God bless him and his family.
