When I try to open internet explorer under my login, it opens then closes about 3 seconds later. It does the same thing under my wife's login and the admin login. It works fine under my daughter's login. Earlier today she was fukking around with stopping processes which is supposed to get her damn sims to work properly. I even tried making a new account and have the same problem there.

That's one helluva story there, smack. Tell us more. Maybe even make somebody die or get the aids this time. Drama rulz.

Just recently, I've had similar problems. Mostly it was when I have Adobe Photoshop open...it wouldn't let me save a large file. Then poof, the whole thing closed and I lost my file. I use Norton AV, but I think I better hand update the definitions and run a scan.

Try restoring from the previous day. If that doesn't work, check http://www.edmunds.com

You might have to repack the cpu bearings.

Open the computer case and make sure your Flux Capacitor is staying lit all the time. If it goes out it will crash your Internet Explorer. Here's a pic
