No-hitter through 8...

Chris Young has so far faced the minimum number of batters through the eighth inning. One walk in the sixth and the runner was thrown out stealing.

This would be the first no-hitter in Padres history.

RACK Young whether he gets it or not!!!

That's what happens when the ump goes blind and makes the dude groove a fastball...

Oh well, maybe next time.

Uh oh. Bye-bye no-no. And shutout.

Still got a nice cushion.

Oh well. Guess we have to wait some more for the no-no.

Big win anyway (assuming Meredith gets the last out).

they listed the teams still wothout a no hiter. The pads? No big surprise, but, how the fukk are the mets still on that list? They have had a dozen or two HOF caliber pitchers over the years. Can't believe they got through the 60-70s without one.

The Padres have had a few good pitchers too. During the broadcast I think they said that they've have something like 38 one hitters. I tuned in last night expecting to see Trevor go for the tie with Lee Smith, and instead got a close call no-hitter. Turns out neither happened, but it was an excellent game.

The Pads passed the Cards last night and now have the second best record in the NL. Only 1/2 game ahead of the Dodgers, though, and 1 ahead of the Phillies. This thing is going down to the wire, 'cause there's definitely no quit in any of those teams. Two of the three will make the playoffs and the third will be left standing in the cold.

I love Chris Young and how he handled that last night.

Our team is gel-ling perfectly right now!

No more threads now, let's not jinx them.

Jeez, Trev, you sound like my wife.

She thinks that if she watches them on TV it'll jinx them.

so that's the line you bought to justify season tickets? and maybe the pads have had a few decent pitchers, but they can't match the mets.

Did I say that?

Go read again and come back for a retest.

She leaves the room.
