Mark me as a terrorist

I went to a fucking wedding yesterday. I would have loved to have stepped into the church with 20 lbs. of DTD strapped to my waist.

At least karma struck back on the bride and groom. Outside reception with a "tent"......200 bags of mulch and a shit rain storm later, well, the food was ok.

When you pick a college football Saturday for a wedding, you deserve SHIT weather like we got.

What the hell are you doing going to a wedding of someone who isn't even a friend? We all know that a "friend" wouldn't schedule a fall Saturday wedding.

My wife has gone to multiple weddings without me in the fall. Granted I have a built in out with the officiating gig.

Lefty, nice to chat with you on the same time zone.

If you can make it to the A&M/NU game, me and my boy would love to have a brew or high-ball with you and yours.

As for the wedding, my wife got pissed at me for calling 1-800-555-TELL every 10 minutes.

I can make it but the wife will be in Chicago for a convention. Do you have a line on extra tickets or do you know if it is sold out yet?

We gave ours away when we saw she was going to be gone. I will make the short drive as I don't have a game that weekend if you are going to be there. We are going to the Tech game Saturday, but I have that uncomfortable feeling about the game.

Not meaning to cast dispersions on your "friends," but are you sure they're not football-hating communists?

My wife wanted a fall wedding. I refused because everytime one of my brothers and sisters scheduled a fall wedding, we lost to Colorado. We married in June of 97 on one of the hottest days of the year. My wife says she's still a little bitter about not having a fall wedding, but NU did win a share of the championship that year, so it wasn't all bad.

I don't have a line on extra tickets, but you can call the 12th Man Foundation. I'm sure they have some tickets left. We're actually camping at LAke Somerville for the weekend. Bring your tent and sleeping bag. No womens + college football + beer = lotsa fun.

OhI think it is 1-800 (or 866) 99-AGGIE for the tickets. Ours were $83 apiece. Kinda high I thought but oh well...

I missed the second half of the ND/USC game because of a god damned wedding. :brad:

I told my wife that we could get married in the spring, summer or winter. Fall was out of the question. She asked if we could get married on ND's bye week and I told her we could, if she wanted a lot of my friends not to attend.

As I said during the week leading up to the USC game last year, she'll be on birth control from January to April so I won't have to miss any games because of a birth.

At a boy Killian. I have effectively steered clear of Deer Season (Oct 1st - Jan 15th), Football Season, and Turkey Season(April 25th - May 9th) for my wedding (Feb 17th), and to my surprise, the other half hasn't said a word about it! It's starting to become clear to her where "our" priorities are! :)

You're a fucking genius.

I missed the SC/ND game six years ago when it was at HOME because some SC GRADS decided to get married OUT OF TOWN.

Morons.

Hey, in this little town, it's damn hard to spend lotsa cash. Just slash her tires before you go on your hunting trips.

Or, if you have multiple credit cards in your names, call the card companies ahead of time and say; "Mrs. Chief and I will be out of town and we are leaving your card behind. If there is any activity on this card from X-X, it is unauthorized. I will call you upon my return to notify you that I will begin using your card again."

Not sure how long this will keep you married, but you could at least get away for the weekend.

Chief, if you combine Frisco's and Killian's advice your old lady gets busted for credit card fraud while tire shopping down at pep boys. Love is in the air huh fellas.

Memo to Chief: NEVER take advice from anyone on this board regarding how to make your woman. We are all insensitive slugs in search of our next drink while justifying 12 hours of continious football viewing as our God given right and duty.

Frisco, as far as nothing to spend money on in your small town- I get it that Jasper is'nt a thriving metroplex but let your bride and the future Mrs. Chief roll up to that little town in brown county, Nashville is the name I believe, and see how much havoc they can wreek on your plastic in those gift and craft shops.

Little Nashville is 2 hours away. Last time we went there, the credit card got some business.
