If you have Turf and you know where it comes from it never hurts to find out their Turf Mix or just buy a few squares and replace as the dog piss will ruin the soil enough the new Fescue seeds won't germinate unless you douche the areas days in advanced.

If your dog is a female, the rye should be burnt off with time. Fescue is better for shade, traffic and dog piss. Just reseed with fescue every fall and early spring. With time one will win. That privacy fence should block out multicolored grass, if that shames you.

yes, your response does make it eight. btw, people who bag their clippings are idiots. cut it reasonably often and it won't look like shit and you won't have to fertilize as often. you only need to bag if you let it grow into hay between cuttings.

It gets cut in spring, and thatched(maybe) before it comes out of dormancy in fall(like right about now), when it's mowed again.

Peel off the fescue and rye and redo the entire yard with Suburbanite.

In stead of trying to green the brown spots back up,I would go the other way and sray some Roundup on the whole yard.I nice even shade of brown will appear,and you wont be able to tell where the dog takes a piss after that.

one other thing. I was driving along today and noticed some dude in his yard walking his mutt. the mutt was in the process of spraying a fence post in the yard that he has undoubtedly sprayed many times before. this is why male dogs have bode on chick dogs. male dogs are particular. they have to piss on something with a vertical surface. this is good for a few reasons. first, they don't piss smack in the middle of the yard, second, you don't have to worry about edging around that fence as there ain't a chance in hell that there is grass growing there. i'd bet money that r-jack's dog is a bitch, or atleast gax.

so, i'll modify my recommendation to off that bitch or atleast trade it in on a male.
