You're down to Kansas late in the 4th qtr right now. The Jaypukes are a team that lost to Toledo.
Where's bradhusker?
The meltage is going to be spectacular.

Without a doubt.

It's been the 60s since KU has won in Lincoln.

I've got the SS model.
This is actually one hella' game. If not for a botched PAT earlier, KU would have this one in the bag.
Looks like OT.

Sheesh. I turned off this game hours ago, only to flip back to see the end of the 4th. Fucking KU.

I HATE fade passes into the endzone. They are such a low percentage play relative to other options. Even worse, are fade passes on fourth down. All or nothing. Bullcrap call, imo.

I despise KU, but I almost feel sorry for them.
Almost. They were the better team out there tonite.
There's going to be much wailing around here about the one that got away, and I'm going to enjoy that. Here's a thought, KU. When you've got somebody 3rd and 17 with the lead and less than 3 minutes left in the game, how about you not let them complete a Hail Mary 70 yard TD pass? Just a thought.
But I can still sit back and laugh at the likes of bradhusker.
How 'bout them blackshirts getting shredded for almost 400 yards thru the air by a North bottom feeder? Nice job with those blitzes that never worked while Barmann (Missouri kid, btw) found open receivers all nite.
Too bad that you can't play cupcakes every week.
On the bright side, every Home Depot employee in Omaha can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that their supply of shower rods is safe, at least for now.

Remember, they beat Troy 56-0.
Top 5 material for sure.

Not only did Nebraska DESTROY KU tonight but they also beat Troy 56-0 and the '95 Nebraska team woulda assraped KU.
Oh, and yeah, I'm a gorilla sized corn fed stud!

To second Van's point, Nebraska is fucking back, like '95 back. Did you see us fucking shut down KU in overtime. I mean after we beat Troy State (yes, the same team that lost to FSU) we showed up big time against KU. We bitch slapped them with our huge fucking muscley (sic) hands. We will dominate the big 12 north and you will see the power that is corn.

Where the fuck is Cuda? This shit is weak boys.
I'll bite....
Yep, strike up the band....we're back. Got the "W" against a game KU team with a stingy D. Mizzou loses to Kansas this year...mark it. Enjoy it bitches.
Nice job SC against garbage Washington State. Fucking team of the millenia for sure. (filling in for Brad) Why isn't anyone all over Texas' ass about Sam Houston's Jar of Ashes State?
Yawn.

Missouri goes 5-0 (props, btw) for the the first time since 1881 and tiger fan morps into M2 on ritalin. "Colorado is the best 0-5 team ever and would hang half-a-hunnerd on Nebraska fo' sho'!!!

We got damn lucky tonight. KU dropped two td-passes, fumbled deep in our territory, and muffed an extra-point. We had mistakes too but not nearly as many as them. A very meh offense tore us apart whenever they weren't blowing their own leg-off. I'm happy to get the W, a win is a win. But Texas will exploit our secondary like we are third-world rugrats in a Nike-factory.
The only thing that consoles me about the Mizzou game is that they still have to show they can get it done outside of Columbia.

Yes, Cosgrove still sucks and he ought to sit Grixby the hell down. How many times can one guy get smoked before he gets assigned to the kick team? Damn it would be nice to have Bowman back. Grixby is horrible.

You should know. How good is Missouri anyway? The combined record of every team you've played so far is 6-19
Wow. Start pumping your chest after you play Texas Tech...

Tigger fan starts a thread about meltage? Talk about prepping for the inevitable.
I'm not sure how KU's kicker went 2 for 5 passing the ball. The game wasn't on our Fox regional network in DC.
Mangino's literally and figuratively twice the coach Callahan is. I hope the 'skers keep him for a long time.

Probably because the week before, TexasFan wasn't in here claiming BODE and "Championship Run" after a win over a team like Troy.

Mangino's players play like he is, with a chip on their shoulders. Mangino has a huge heart (not a dig on his weight) and it shows in his players.
IMO, Callahan's players can sense when he's wary, which is why they looked sharp early on, but then thought the game was over during the second quarter. The sense of urgency was gone and the players relaxed. You cannot quit at any time, guys.

I saw the second half of the KU-NU game and was perplexed a bit as to Cosgrove's blitz calls. with the exception of the final OT possession, KU didn't have much trouble with them--especially on some key 3rd down conversions.
Mizzou was impressive on O for the most part (especially Daniel) but looked pretty human on D.

Will do, since that's pretty much what I stated in that stickied thread at the top of the page that you must've missed.
Mizzou did what they needed to do to win this game, and that's about it. I'm not going to get too excited just yet. Let's see how they do next week at Texas Tech. That will be the real test to determine just how good this team may or may not be.
Unlike myopic Corn fan around here who started chest thumping after beating Troy 56-0, I've been keeping Mizzou's cupcake schedule so far in perspective.
Yes, I'm excited about Mizzou's 5-0 start. I stuck my neck out before the first whistle was blown this season and called for Mizzou to win the Big XII North. I got laughed at then. Not so much now. After watching the pre-season favorite struggle
at home with the traditional conference doormat, I'm more confident in that prediction than ever.
Face it. You got outplayed last night by a team that lost to Toledo, and should be extremely sheepish about being 1-0 in the conference. It should be 0-1, and you know it.
If you gave up 400 yards passing to KU, you're really going to be pissing down your leg when Chase Daniel and company invade Lincoln with 5 receiver sets. Did I mention that despite all the blitzing that your over-rated blackshirt D tried last nite, they tallied exactly ZERO sacks? Oh yeah that's right, I already did.
As for your offense, KU repeatedly stuffed your running game. This from a defense that lost 8 starters from last year. Mizzou will sack Zac (Heisman hopeful) Taylor at least 6 times when they roll in there. Count on it. They can flat bring the pass rush.
And rest assured, you will be forced into passing trying to keep up with Mizzou's high octane offense that'll have your secondary running around and bumping into one another.
I can't wait.

(start sarcasm) Oh yes. I am so pissing down my leg at the thought of Misery's vaunted 5-receiver set coming into Lincoln. The piss is so warm and comforting as I am crying like a baby in the fetal position. Wah. (end sarcasm)
Face it, this year is going to be like every time Missouri has come in here the last few years under Pinkel. Each time, NU fans chalked it up as a loss because there would be no way we'd be able to contain Missouri and each time, Misery slunked out with a loss. I expect the same thing to happen again. No offense. If we were to play at Misery right now, we'd probably lose.

And Nebraska loses to Mizzou this year too- big.
Also, I saw nothing from Corn that leads me to believe the Buffs- sorry as they admittedly are this year- will not hang another ass-kicking on them come 11/24 too.

Those are some keen and insightful observations, dude. I bet you top out in the commodities market all the time. Vegas casinos let you back in yet?
