At work I have Internet Explorer. Certain posters (ie., Dog, Jack) have animated avatars of women in various stages of undress. Is there a simple way to turn them to red X's? Feep your faggot references to yourselves, I'll still watch 'em at home.

To build on what MB said, Firefox can block certain images or images from a whole site or all images in general which works well for work environments. To do so, just right click on the image and choose 'Block images from this site" or look under the Firefox options. Also with Firefox you can look for some addons to block images. In IE, you can disable videos and/or images by default in the settings. This may or may not work as you expect it to. In IE 7beta, you may have more options.

And if the business doesn't let you D/L firefox from the net, bring it into work on a CD. They'll be happy you are making them a little more secure by not using IE.
In IE 7beta, you may have more options.
Most likely including a plethora of new security concerns.
