Millen on the chopping block?

Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Lions may be canning Matt Millen fairly soon.
Although Millen apparently has a Wayland Smithers-type hold on 80-something owner William Clay Ford, word is that owner-in-waiting Bill Ford has turned in his official Matt Millen fan club secret draft bust decoder ring, and that the younger Ford's departure as CEO from the quaint little motor carriage company that bears the family name will give him greater influence over the football team that the Fords gradually have driven into the ground over the years, too.

Maybe after the Bills avenge their loss to the Bears by intercepting Kitna 4 times?

The Lions are cursed. I think their practice facility is built on an Indian graveyard or sumpthing.

I'm afraid that as soon as Millen is fired that Al Davis will finally decide that he needs a GM and hires him.

I heard Millen talks quite often to Al...I know the Lions were inquiring about Jerry Porter recently. I wouldn't be shocked if he found his way to the next worst franchise in the NFL. Say what you want about the Raiders right now...at least you guys had the 70s and early 80s to be proud of. The Lions haven't done squat since the '50s.

Thanks for the bump...the Lions are an absolute cess pool. If this team was a vehicle built by Ford, it would have to be recalled. How any fool would spend money to see them in person deserves to be subjected to that awful brand of...I won't even call it football. I'd take mediocrity at this point...winning every other game right now wouldn't be all that bad. If the Lions draft Brady Quinn, they should just apologize to him right there on the stage when they give him his jersey and hat.
