I’d go with Leyland and the Tigers. Gotta love a manager who goes into the tunnel during the game to fire up a lung-buster. Plus, if the Tigers win, Bace will cry.

Cards are 2-1 underdog.

Everyone loves an underdog, and everybody hates frontrunners ('sup Crown).

Phillies should have hired Leyland a few years back and now have chosen to be stuck with good Ole Charlie Manual. I'm routing for the Tigers so the Phillies management will further look like idiots for passing on Jimmy for Charlie.

I'm an AL guy all the way, so Tigers.

Plus, my uncle played minor league ball in the Tigers' organization, albeit 50-odd years ago.

Are you sure you are not already a fan of both of them? That way you are covered either way. Unless you do not think there will be room with all of your CFB rooting interests.

You don't have to pick a side, just watch because you like baseball. I've had to deal with watching the postseason for a while without my team involved...I've never pulled for another team. I certainly have had teams I don't want to see win but I don't root for any team other than one in Detroit.

If you're a CubFan...than why would you even consider rooting for the Cardinals?

By the way, the Tigers have one former Cub (Neifi Perez)...no former Cubs on the Cardinals.
