Flagansta elements, and gets good grades at West L.A. Jr. College, and swears he will be good, and a certain University that has a dumb, balck coach, winks at him, and he winks back, should they roll the dice?

Listen here, Whorn... If you had half a fuckin' brain, you'd be rooting for Mike Stoops to win the National Championship, because, if he gets fired, guess where he's coming back to?

Back to Oklahoma, where he kicks the shit out of Tejas. (God, please let this happen.)

Let's not go questioning Bob's job security just yet... Mack would have to win three more, in a row, BIG, for the administration to start grumbling...

...the fans, on the other hand...

Cal has a documented, detailed, and public policy on athletics admissions. From what I understand, this policy hasn't changed much in several years - including the years when Holmoe was the head coach.

University of California, Berkeley Athlete Admissions Policy 2005

I just wish I could find what UCLA's full athletics admissions policy was; I've searched but can't find it. I did find this, which does make a claim that Cal has accepted student-athletes that UCLA has rejected. It certainly doesn't sound like their "standards" are really higher, but that their process is different (maybe even not that different). As I've stated before, Cal is only allowed a maximum of 4 NCAA minimum qualifiers per year across the entire athletic dept. Cal's coaches are also allowed a "letter of support" for type C/D tagged applicants.

Guiding Principles for Athletic Admission
Professor Donald Morrison is an ex officio member of IAC and the Student-Athlete Admissions Committee (S-AAC) because of his position as UCLA's NCAA representative. Chair Riley is an ex officio member on the S-AAC as Chair of IAC. UCLA athletes are only accepted through that committee.

The Committee on Admission of Student Athletes developed a 'Guiding Principles and Procedures' document with IAC's full support. The document is an effort to help IAC understand what the Committee is trying to do. It will help the Athletics department as well who have to present the candidates. The Committee can accept any athlete that meets NCAA minimum requirements. The coaches are not allowed to lobby the Committee but they can include a letter to them. This committee is unique to UCLA.
