Locks for October 28

25-14-1 over the last 2 weeks and looking to keep the Big Mo going....

1.Kansas State -5.5 over Iowa State
K-State fighting for a bowl. Iowa State won't even sissy fight. McCarney era about over as his conference record at ISU in 12 years is slightly under 29%. Wildcats 31 Clones 17.

2.Iowa -17 over Northern Illinois
Hawks will stack the box to contain Garrett Wolfe. Jake Christensen most likely gets the start at QB with Tate out. Doesn't matter who plays QB, Iowa's offense will score points against one of the worst defenses in the nation. Kinnick factor on Blackout Saturday = Iowa 37 NIU 10.

3.Miami +6.5 over Georgia Tech
I've said all year how overrated Ga Tech is. Eventually pride and talent have to kick in for The U. They'll pull the upset on Tech 20-17.

4.Michigan -33.5 over Northwestern
Big spreads are almost never covered by Michigan. Manningham and Arrington are both out. But I fully expect an absolute meltdown by Northwestern after that debacle last week. They will lay down and Michigan will win 38-0.

5.Texas Tech +12.5 over Texas
Emotional win for Texas last week and now they've got to go back on the road against an in-state rival. Should be close. Texas 34 Texas Tech 28.

6.Michigan State -7.5 over Indiana
Sparty has renewed life and the talent level between these teams isn't even close. Michigan State 38 Indiana 14.

7.Georgia +14 over Florida
Rivalry games are tough to pick even though Florida is clearly much better. But expect Georgia to play their best game of the year against a team they've struggled with. Florida 23 Georgia 20.

8.South Carolina +4.5 over Tennessee
OBC will have his team ready, but it may not quite be enough. Will be close until the 4th quarter when UT's talent advantage takes over. Tennessee 20 South Carolina 17.

9.Ohio State -27 over Minnesota
Lock of the week. Buckeyes will score at will and Minnesota won't be able to move the football. Ohio State 45 Minnesota 7.

10.Purdue +3 over Penn St
Good defense usually beats a good offense except in this case. Penn St couldn't score against a HS defense. Morelli is fucking horrible and that may be giving him too much credit. Home field will factor into this one. Purdue 24 Penn State 13.

11.Oklahoma +2.5 over Missouri
Missouri is a fraud. Oklahoma still has great talent on defense. Thompson will be able to make just enough plays for OU. Sooners win 24-17.

12.Colorado +2 over Kansas
Kansas is one of the worst BCS conference teams. Colorado is still playing hard and they'll win this in a cakewalk. CU 28 Kansas 10.

13.Temple +19 over Bowling Green
Followed Bowling Green enough to know that they couldn't blow out even Temple, especially on the road. They'll win, but 19 points is too much. BGSU 28 Temple 19.

14.Washington State +3 over UCLA
UCLA is coached by Karl Dorrell, so I fully expect them to just lay down and quit after that tough loss to Notre Dame. Wazzou plays hard, although they're not that talented or healthy. Washington State 27 UCLA 24.

That's enough games for this week.

you're right. indiana is WAY better.

No they aren't. IU is horrible. They had one fluke win and now it's back to reality. They do have a better coach. But talent is not the problem for MSU. Coaching is. Either way, they'll stomp IU.

Oh really?

Did you think that up all by your lonesome?

Tell ya' what, Jon... if Mizzou loses to Oklahoma, I'll be your personal bitch forever.

If not, what are you gonna' do?

I'll have some suggestions.

Eeeeeasy, there Trigger.
You know, you take this 'smack' thing a little too seriously sometimes. He's making some picks vs the spread, that's all. And, if you haven't noticed doing a damned good job of it. So, while you take every detail as a slight against mizzou and flail your arms around, I'll take Jon's word for it.

Sooners Win.

BTW, I've yet to see you stick your pencil neck out there, open yourself up to the board for criticism, and make predictions vs. the spread each week. Hmmm.

Nice.

he went 0-10 the week he's not including.

personally, i think the better bet in the OU-Mizzou game is Missouri at home. i would stay away from OU without Peterson at this point, and i mos def stay away from Pinkel's MU teams unless it's OOC cupcakes this year. they lost to Troy and New Mexico and Bowling Green with Brad SMith....and a couple bad BAD Kansas teams. but, hammered Nebraska.

S'whatIwasThinkin'.

Normally, I'd stay far, far away from this game -- like a hot woman receiving the unwanted advances of a prepubescent-faced War Wagon, but since IF's forcing me to pick one or the other, I'd say the smart money's on the home team, to cover a miniscule spread, versus a team that's all kinds of banged up.

I hate this game. Fuggen hate it.

It's the only game this year where I went back and changed my pick. Started off on OU, thinking OU will sack up and Stoops and the talent there will prevail...

Then I thought about poor B-t-H, and how snake bitten OU is these past two seasons. Thought about adel and WW and how much glee this one would give 'em in here, even beating up a beat to shit OU team that's stuck in the Bermuda Triangle...

Finally, like Mgo said....the home team. Fired up home team looking to get some sort of respect, against CF's current version of Dilbert.

Fuck. I so wanna take OU here. Fuck.........Fuck.

Missouri, at home.

Doesn't matter, at this point. I'm losing this game now, guaranteed, no matter which side I pick.

Btw...Can't fucking believe I'm not taking USC and giving away only 12 points, at Oregon St. Same with Texas and 11.5, at Taco Tech...

Couldn't do it, on either one. I could easily see USC finally waking up and playing a complete game following a bye week. I could also see Texas rolling Taco Tech 98-4.

Problem is, if I pick those two, I know what'll happen. USC will be up only 10-7 at the half and Taco Tech will be beating Texas 12-9 at the half and then I'll have to sweat 'em both until the final whistle blows, hoping against hope that those odd point spreads don't come into play there at the end with some stupid cosmetic score fucking everything up...

Just stayed away this time. Now, because I did, I'm assuming USC will go ahead and finally break out with a nice 44-7 blow out.

On CFB?

Are you serious?

I'll leave idiots like you to bet against the spread each week.

I'll stick to picking the NFL.

AL

sure bode coby...I was just merely pointing out to WW that he made a comment about picking spreads and well they have spreads in the NFL so I was just sayin is the hit still affecting WW...

and by the way sure BODE Coby great fuck him...he is going to be a lawyer...if you ever thought that Kat was going to be some genius then BODE KAT...oh and by the way even though his NFL career was cut short I am sure he made enough cash...BODE KAT On that one...

This is over as far as I am concerned...tOSU owns Mizzou on the gridiron...and Mizzou owns tOSU on the hardwood...

BODE = WASH...

now can we get back to plungering WW or do we need to continue this debate?

Michigan isn't 33 points better than anyone without a passing game. They'll still kick the Wildcats' asses all over the field with their physical defense and a healthy helping Mike Hart but they won't beat any team by that much with a depleted receiving corps.

The weather is crappy in Ann Arbor today...not expecting fireworks. Michigan should still win comfortably...I'm thinking 28-10.

9-5. Actually not a bad week for JON. He's rebounded pretty well after the 0-10 debacle.

Good call on Temple, btw, although you didn't call the outright win.

TiC, 9-5?

Checking his picks I see 7-7, not 9-5...
1.Kansas State -5.5 over Iowa State Win

2.Iowa -17 over Northern Illinois Loss

3.Miami +6.5 over Georgia Tech Loss

4.Michigan -33.5 over Northwestern Loss

5.Texas Tech +12.5 over Texas Win

6.Michigan State -7.5 over Indiana Loss

7.Georgia +14 over Florida Win

8.South Carolina +4.5 over Tennessee Loss

9.Ohio State -27 over Minnesota Win

10.Purdue +3 over Penn St Loss

11.Oklahoma +2.5 over Missouri Win

12.Colorado +2 over Kansas Loss

13.Temple +19 over Bowling Green Win

14.Washington State +3 over UCLA Win
Btw, I will never again change my mind and reverse my pick. I knew I was fucked once I allowed myself to talk myself off of Oklahoma and onto Missouri. There's no way you can win when you do that. Just too much pussified karma. The gods of betting won't let you get away with that shit, ever.

Must...go...with...gut...pick.

Must...go...with...gut...pick.

Just checked my picks from last week and those were a bit disappointing. Didn't get a chance to make picks for this week and never really even saw the spreads, so I can't say how well I would have done.

Last 3 weeks of picks I am 32-21-1 which is around 60% if my math is accurate.

By the way, adelpiero.....

You still questioning my take on Missouri being a fraud???????????
