It's a new week gentlemen. Posted record for college football is 30-24. Not bad, not good.
I'm heading to Vegas on Thursday for a few days, so I'll post my picks for college tomorrow.
Tonight though, my one other true gambling pleasure.....the NBA kicks off. I love betting the NBA. I'm a much bigger college hoops fan, but I there are $$ to be made in pro hoops.
NBA Season Kick-Off Wagers:
Phoenix -4.5
Phoenix Under 208.5
Provided Marion plays, PHX should cover easily. I think under should be good as well. Phoenix 102-90.

Oh well, on to another day. Nice to get off to an 0-2 NBA start.

Rack Mook. I loves me some NBA action. Made a killing in the last two months of the season, and like you said, hitting teams on the tail end of back-to-backs can mean easy $$.
I'm going with the under on Chicago-Orlando, Golden State -6.5, and Sacramento +210.

Amen! Hopefully you learn to enjoy the NBA. It really is a much more watchable game now than it was several years ago.
I'm off to Vegas, first two days are work............mostly. Then I'm gonna stay a couple of days. God only knows what I'll bet on. Usually I'm a relatively disciplined gambler, but I think I'll throw that out the window this weekend!
Good luck this weekend.

Rutgers +7

I don't know about that one Eagle. I'm showing 6.5 right now and at that number I'm gonna have to take Louisville. Rutgers is a fairly one-dimension team and I'm not buying the letdown factor for Louisville right now. Frankly, I think Rutgers is a poor-man's West Virginia (who'd have ever thought you'd hear that!!) but I don't see the Rutgers QB being able to beat L'ville when they inevitably stack the box to stop Rice. I'm 99% sure that I will roll with L'ville at anything 7 or under.
What are your thoughts on Rutgers? I don't think it's a bad play, I just don't see it right now.

From a pure power ratings POV, I have this game at Louisville -3.
Louisville much tougher at home. Also the beneficiary of 5 WV fumbles last week (nice, because I had Louisville).
Super tough defense at home getting 7 on a Wednesday night a week after the road fav busted its nut in its game of the year.... fuhgettaboutit.
7s are available now and will probably become more available closer to gametime.
I think all the value is on Rutgers.
The usual disclaimer -- even the best picks lose at least 40% of the time.

Good points on Rutgers. However, do you think their defense is really super-tough or the beneficiary of a fairly light schedule?
I think I'll be on the other side, but good luck to you.
And according to my record this year my best picks lose 41% of the time!!

I think even accounting for strength of schedule I have this game at Louisville -3 to 3.5
