I wonder what context Pat Tillmans family took it in?

I can't speak for them, but after reading this, it seems to me that they probably took it in the intended context, and what's more, agreed with Kerry.

yeah, b/c context is so important to contemporary politics.

These two statements are not mutually exclusive:

(1) John Kerry is an arrogant douche.

(2) George Bush is an opportunistic assclown.

As far back as I can remember I have been a republican. Every time the Republicans do something to disappointment me I think I might switch I then take a look at the democrates and realize they are still bigger assholes so I stay.

Now I really hate both parties anyone who thinks the demos have all the answers are dumber than the republicans who act like they do.

Right now I am so disgusted with both parties its unreal. The republicans are a bunch of corporate puppets and the democrates are trying to turn us into a communist state. Screw both of them

Bwa!

Fucking excellent.

Kerry's words may have been taken out of context, but that's hardly the point.

Dumbshit should have known better than to stick his foot in his mouth like that in the first place, no matter the context.

At the very least, he shouldn't then respond to the shitstorm those remarks triggered by saying that he's not apologizing to anyone for 'em.

What a politically clueless dumfuck.

Guys, seriously... Give Kerry a break. You've seen his wife. He knew that, by saying some stupid shit like this, he'd have to spend a little extra time out of the house defending himself. If you look at it that way, it's fuckin' brilliant, really.

It would be one thing if threads like this started multiplying, daily. A small handful of non-CF takes a year is okay, in my book. Remember, a lot of people here consider the CF forum their primary "home" and keep all their takes in here, CF or non-CF.

I avoid the political forum for a reason. My JOB is politics, and I don't want to start pissing wars over some stupid comment John Kerry made. If we were going to start a post here about every stupid comment W made that's all we'd have on this board.

I'd TROTS this bitch and move on.

Its good to have M Club back however.

Agreed, although I always thought it was proper etiquette to precede such topics with "OT".

But I'll cut Nolesy a break since he's a good guy, even though I don't agree with him on this one.

If you started a thread for every stupid Dubya comment ever made, you would crash the Interwebs.

What a pitifully stupid braindead fuck you are.

That was not a joke, botched or otherwise, and it had nothing to do with the President.
That's precisely what it was. It's amazing that the Republicans spun a "Bush is dumb" joke by Kerry into "the troops are dumb." On second thought, that might not be so amazing -- maybe Bush is even dumber than we thought, and didn't realize that Kerry was calling him dumb. But what is amazing is that the MSM bought the Republican spin.
Bush got better grades than Kerry did.
Comparing the intelligence of 60-something men based on college grades they earned before most on this board were even born, particularly where neither one had grades that were anything to write home about? :meds:
He has a graduate degree
So does Kerry -- in a more academically rigorous field.
and he mopped the fucking floor with Kerry in the election.
If I spent the rest of my life posting :meds: I couldn't possibly live long enough to post a response that would do justice to this.

If 70,000 votes in Ohio had gone the other way, Kerry would have won the election, and Bush would be drinking Jim Beam, choking on pretzels and mispronouncing "nuclear" back at his ranch in Crawford instead of in the White House. No incumbent President has ever won re-election by a more narrow margin.

And Kerry trounced Bush in the debates.

If that was supposed to be some kind of joke, it was on Kerry.[/quote]
