1. Happiness - A cheery movie about three sisters. One of whom is married to a guy that's a psychiatrist that's also secretly yearns for small boys. He drugs the whole family so that he can have his way with a family friend, whom he drugs his tuna fish sandwich. Another sister has nothing but bad luck after finding out that her ex-boyfriend kill himself after dumping him. The oldest sister is an author that's tired of people kissing her ass, but gets intrigued when her next door neighbor, the obscene phone caller, calls with an obscene call. Good performances all around, but what a creepy movie.

2. 8 MM - I saw this horrid piece of crap in the theater. What in the hell was Nick Cage thinking? He plays an investigator that tries to determine if a found snuff film is real. It is and it takes you into the seedy world of porn, especially the torture films. I think I did take a shower after watching this movie.

3. Auto Focus - This is the biopic about Bob Crane, the guy who played Hogan in Hogan's Heros. He's a nice mild mannered guy with a small fetish for porn. This fetish takes a huge turn when he gets famous and meets a guy who video tapes orgies at his house. This turns into a taping fetish where Crane brings back women to the guy's house, who then tapes them secretly. They watch it back in his den while wanking it in front of each other. After Heros ends, he becomes the sleaziest guy in the world with the huge glasses, slicked hair and inappropriate dialogue. The tapes they watch of sex are so unappealing that it makes you almost ready to swear off porn forever.

i've typed about this one enough. no need to do so again. i'll just say that the creepy cuteness of the characters and the evil comedy of the story are enough to make you want to shower with Pine-Sol.



scarface. probably a rather typical, mediocore choice, but it's true. i always seem to hop in the shower after watching this flick. from the gore to the asshole factor of the characters... eek.



blue velvet. david lynch. no explanation needed.

ps: 8 mm, you're spot on. that movie gave me the creeps.

i can dig the ally sheedy lesbian thing, i can dig the washed up/has been ex model junkie thing.

what i couldn't deal with was the seediness of it all, and the realization that there are people similar to these creepy characters in my life. fucking eh.



the whole spader factor is an immediate shower. add that to paraplegic soft core s & m sex with holly hunter, a lot of mediocore crashes and spader - whacked out as usual, well there you go.

ps: nevermind as much as i know spader makes me want to shower, i'd definitely be his secretary.

2. i saw crash in a half-full artsy wannabe indie theater, in Royal Oak (which is seriously a gay city, rainbow flags a flyin' - and at half mast when this fag or that lesbian checks out) and other than the bizarre sex and lame-O dialogue, the only thing I remember is this 50-something mullethead biker dude,
