Mid-terms: CALL IT

Minimal gains for the Dems resulting in nothing changing, because

1) They're still woefully ineffective
2) Something dodgy will happen at the booths
3) Despite all the bluster, people are as keen to find out what really went on in Iraq about as much as they want to find out about the credit card debt they 'forgot about' when they moved house 5 years ago.

I used to get pretty deece grades on my mid-terms, but I graduated years ago and really haven't given them much thought since then

Conservatively I would say the Dems pick up 3-4 seats in the Senate and 10-15 seats in the House.

Of course this election has the makings of a 1980, 1994 type year where undecideds break in the last couple of days hard in one direction. So it's still a crapshoot.

That was then.

I think that now, they patiently await the arrival of oiled-up boy scouts or some other gay themed perverts that Jeff Gannon will be serving up.

The current status quo will be to tired of actually working a days work on the campaign trail and will go back to fucking off, bleating about shit that means nothing but to the chosen few to give the impression that they are important and ignoring serious problems facing all American's like a sensible immigration policy and enforcing it, securing Social Security monies for those who are forced to pay into it, funding the Military so they can have what they need to get out of Iraq without handing it back to Islamic Extremeists, reforming welfare and forcing responsibility along with the money handout, giving business both big and small tax incentives to grow and employ here in the US and not fund shitholes like Mexico, India and Indonesia. Fair trade policy with said shitholes, bringing Vocational Education back into all schools as wells as Arts and Music, ect. ect.
In other words

Nothing

In Washington you can't bite the hand that feeds you and it sure isn't people of average income who work and pay taxes expecting results because they can't buy it or force Legislators to pass, ignore or fillibuster common sense legislation like the chosen ones do when it affects their bottom line in our Global Economy.

Same ole shitters, some new players , same ole shit.
But the fact of the matter is we as Citizens allow these people to make promises, tell lies, and talk shit during election season and never hold them accountable for what they promise. To many of them just coast along and enjoy all the privledges of being an elected official of the people and pander to the few and we are the ones to blame for that.

Before you politcal mensa's spout some partisan bullshit, the bullshit comes in all the parties so go fuck yourself.

I'm ready to cross any political line to throw the braindead party line pricks out so once again they'll make a contract with the American People and fix some seriously fucked up shit ignoring the whining bitches and election payola.

Wrong on the first, right on the second.

I believe it's time for the political pendulum to swing back the other way to the Dems controlling both the House and Senate. Still, the day to day life of ordinary citizens won't change much either way, so it's not worth worrying about.

All politics are local though, and I just hope that here in the great State of Missouri, we don't elect that bitch Claire McCaskill over my boy Jim Talent. That would irritate me.

The rest of the States may do whatever, the Show-Me-State shall remain RED.
