Just to be fair to BSmack, my wife gets Vanity Fair, and I read parts of it from time to time. No not the fashion critiques or the coverage of Hollywood parties. But they do excellent in-depth articles about politics, law, popular culture and media. Very well-rounded magazine that features columnists from James Wolcott to Christopher Hitchens to Dominick Dunne.

Any message board slappy (read: Cooter) that assumes reading that magazine somehow equals faggotry could not be trusted to form a cogent opinion on that publication, as they would only be capable of looking at the pictures.

Man likes to read ladies magazine, but he's not a fag?
