anybody see this today? i had just turned the game on 10 minutes earlier when i see a play go out of bounds and a bunch of people on the sidelines get leveled. one of his players tackled a wisc guy and hit paterno in the left knee with his helmet. the slow motion replay makes it almost look joe THEEEEESMAN style, knee goes unnaturally backwards and looks grotesque. paterno gets up, tries to stand on the leg, but can't, and there's like six guys holding him up. medical staff is begging the dude to at least have a seat so they can check it out, but dude refuses. ends up leaving the game in the third quarter. can't imagine at 80 years old or whatever, turning your knee inside out is something you recover from quickly.
and fuck the following teams:
* IU for letting glen mason absolutely humiliate them.
* scU-M for having to HOLD OFF ball state late in the fourth quarter. ball state, against the "#2" team in the nation? are you fucking kidding? yeah LLLLloyd, i can see why you wanted that bye week instead of the ncaa mandated money game.
* Alabama for fucking losing to miss state at home. has mike shula lost his job yet? dude is neck and neck with john L for coaching incompetence.

No bullshit spin from WolverineFan...that was an unexceptable effort today. Didn't get to watch it since it was on 'Da U'...listened to the fourth quarter on the radio. I'll give Ball State credit for not backing down after Michigan went up 31-12 in the third. I think the biggest difference between Carr and Tressel is that Tressel's teams don't sleepwalk through games they should dominate. I didn't believe that 33-1/2 point spread given the fact Michigan doesn't really blow teams out as much as they just smother them with defense and pound them with the ground game. I don't think Henne is capable of winning games on his own and hopefully Manningham will be close to 100% in two weeks so the Bucks don't load up against the run and force him to both them with his arm. They also need to get their two top tight ends back...Ecker and Massey. I'd expect a better effort next week on the road in Bloomington after getting their scare this week.

Don't forget Iowa getting rolled by Northwestern.
I'm sure glad I picked the Hawkeyes this week.
I sure hope JoPa is OK though. Heard announcers from another game today commenting about how it's hard for a coach to get out of the way in that kind of situation because everybody is standing behind him.

Word is that it's not that serious. Tough luck. It's good that it was a leg, not a head or neck, etc.

I noticed that when they FINALLY convinced Joe to get on the stretcher and be wheeled off, the Wisconi fans down by the field stood up and gave him applause and respect.
RACKs to those fans and to Joe Paterno.
