Northwestern was due for a win after blowing the game against State and then last week giving Michigan a good battle at the Big House...good for them.

rack Mace. That's how it's done, losers...
And in that spirit, Rack Wisconsin. Last year I saw a 1 loss PSU team wallop the Badgers, the situation was reversed today. Wiscy is a solid team with a lot of young talent. They played smart, almost mistake-free football today.

Wiscy-fan should kiss Neb-fan's ass, we opened the door for Biliema by hiring Cosgrove away. He may be the guy to get Wiscy back to the Rose Bowl. Madison and Camp Randall aren't that tough a sell, if the guy can recruit then look-out.
Considering Iowa was supposed to be a contender for the 10-crown they have to be considered one of the bigger busts of the year. Maybe Ferentz should've payed more attention to NFL-jobs when he had the chance. I'm not saying he is in trouble at Iowa, he has done too many good things there, but he is no-longer getting the love as a guy Iowa was incredibly lucky to have. But the year isn't over. If they win two of the next three(includes bowl) they will finish with a respectable win total and get a little momentum going into recruiting season.

Your penis envy of me, Mace, is beyond pathetic. I strongly, recommend counseling.
As for the game........ummm......ummm.......
Fantastic performance by the Hawks! Oh well, shit happens I suppose!
Better days are ahead.....and not far off. Football is just a sport where when things go bad, they can snowball and sometimes you're unable to recover and things look much worse than they reall are. Effort and mistakes can be the difference between beating less talented teams like Indiana and Northwestern by 30 and losing to them. That's just what happened this year. It's a bad season. It happens.
I am getting tired of Iowa fans crying about the coaches and to the fans that booed the team on Saturday. Like I said, bad seasons happen to the best of them. Every program has losses like this from time to time. People need to realize that. Besides, what's the point of booing anyways? It's not going to accomplish anything. And if you boo your team, you're a loser. It's just a game. Not life and death. Some of our fans need to grow up and understand that if you're a grown man/woman and still think that your life revolves around your team, you should probably just go ahead and off yourself because you're not really a productive member of society anyways. There isn't a bigger Iowa fan than me, but I don't boo the team. If we lose, it pisses me off for maybe an hour or so. Then, like any non-screwed up adult, I get over it. Fans that boo the players and have their weekends completely ruined because of a loss are sad, sad souls. Unfortunately, we have a segment of our fan base that are like that. And no, they are NOT better fans than me. In fact, they douchebags that I would like to see go root for another team.
Oh, and the lock of the week......Iowa WILL beat Wisconsin on Saturday. You can all mark it down. Guaranteed winner.

That'd be a pretty decent reach pick there, Jon. More power to you if it comes through for you but you might wanna take heed of m2's guaranteed "Mark my words!" bit about Tennessee.
Plan on seeing all sorts of sigs honoring that line of yours if things go according to Hoyle with Wisconsin...

The only bigger fraud right now in college football bigger than Wisconsin is Can't Tackle For Shit U errrrrrrr Louisville.
Wisky hasn't won a single game against a quality opponent. Oh sure, Iowa isn't playing well right now. But we always bounce back well after bad performances. Mix that with the fact that we OWN Wisconsin. One thing I'm confident in is we'll give probably our best effort of the year. I think you'll see an inspired Iowa team especially considering it is senior day and against Brett Bielema- a former Hawkeye player/coach.
The spread offense is what has given us problems this year, for whatever reason. But Wisconsin's style does not really possess much of a threat to us. If you want the best bet of the week, go throw money down on Iowa. Forget the spread, just pick them to win straight up. Of course, I do not encourage gambling on college athletics, but if you happen to be a bettor......lay your money down on the Hawks. It's a lock.

Gold, Jerry, gold.

Thinking of taking a home equity loan out and taking Wisky minus the points...

JONSENSE at its finest.
I'm not fooled; NOJ is backing his team once again because IU got killed by the Golden Gophers, and someone pulled him off the bandwagon by his flagbelt.

Wiscy is not an elite team but they play strong D and uberfrosh PJ Hill should be back-to-form. Iowa will be looking for redemption post-NW and play tough but I still have to go with the team that has been playing better ball.
Wiscy 20
Iowa 14

Frisco,
Nice Lee Corso reference. Completely ruined your entire take. Here I was thinking "hey, that's some solid smack." But that was while I somehow let that Corso reference get by me. But after realizing you referenced that douchebag, it completely changed my opinion of your smack.
Danimal,
You do have a point. Wisky is playing better, no doubt. But Stocco is out (not that being without Stocco is an excuse as Iowa is the most injured team in the country) and that will hurt. Also, I think you'll see a more inspired Iowa team simply because it is senior day and we're playing Wisconsin- a big rival. We own the Badgers. Sure, we have some team chemistry issues but we are vastly superior in talent to Wisconsin. Its not even close. There's very few players on the Badgers that could start at Iowa. But they are a better TEAM. However, on Saturday, I believe we will be the better team. When you piss off a Ferentz team his players tend to take it personally. You'll see an inspired effort and the Hawks will get the W.......27-17.

noj,
We could fill the Grand-fucking-Canyon with all the shit that gets by you, but don't let that get in your way. Just because I smacked your ass back to David Hasselhoff's womb does not give you the authority to discount my smack based upon a Lee Corso reset.
So sad you have such a small opinion of my smacktitude. Now go back into the basement, ASS!

How is Wiscky a fraud, they are the lowest ranked one loss team in the country besides Wake Forest. I don't hear anyone including them in the conversation for National Championship. They are exactly as they should be, a highly regarded, but not elite team.
Will they beat Iowa? They can, but it wil be difficult, it is always difficult to win on the road in the Big Ten and Iowa does do well against Wisconsin. But I also see Wisconsin as getting better as the season has gone along while Iowa is getting worse. The UW defense prevails...
UW 16
Iowa 7

Exactly.
Nobody is talking about Wisconsin. This is the most underappreciated one loss team in the country.
Does JON believe they should be unranked or something?
Oh, and Wisky is going to splooge all over Iowa, and come back for seconds.

If that's actually the case, you need to fire your coach.
