What's your team's identity?

Please save the "Sincerely, NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL-Paolo" resets clones.......................... we might need them later.

Of course what all of us NFL fans crave is a quality win. Something that shows a known quantity strength of your team in action. A successful outing for a part of your team that you always count on and gives you the feeling that you can continue to count on. Sometimes that is found in the work of just a few players; if you're a blessed fan it is a whole side of the ball or the ever elusive complete team.

The Identity.

Currently the 'Skins have no identity in the way of a part of their game we can count on to get a win. They were able to hang around yesterday; needed help to get a win and got that help. Not quite a formula or strategic vision to build your season around and make believers out of people along the way.

As you can guess, by way of this analysis, only teams with some wins need have anything said about them.

(In that spirit, MACE GET YOUR SIMPLE BAMA SELF THE FUKK IN THIS FORUM. YESTERDAY NOTWITHSTANDING YOUR TEAM IS KICKING ASS, WHY THE HELL ARE YOU HIDING IN CdS?)

So, what's your team's identity?

Flashes of brilliance. Hours of mediocrity.

Couple those with a weak schedule and you have 4-4

We seem to have reverted to 1998 - complete with QB contoversy upcoming.

I'm still not sold on Herm, and I'm sure I'll hate him even more if we make the playoffs and we lose 14-12.

Till then, I'm cautiously myopic

Playoffs? Don't talk to me about Playoffs!

still, we're making progress here...

translation: "My board cred is on the line, and I don't want to be seen as too big a homer. I also don't want to be too late for the bandwagon should it materialize and have Wags call me on it later. I'll try to hedge my bets."

Trust me, I understand.

You going all Mikey on us now dave?
We have one Quality win - vs. SD.
The rest of the wins have been vs. marginal opponents.

So, no - I'm not on the bandwagon yet.

Let's win the next 2 vs. subpar competition on the road, then beat Denver here - Then we'll know if this is more than smoke.

Sure thing, Braveheart.

If you don't mind (and you know that I don't give a damn whether you do or not), I'll just keep banging my drum.

A trainwreck waiting to happen.....same shit, different year.

Give a team a solid week to prepare a defense to shut Manning down, and we're toast. Hell, we don't even have Edge to TRY to bail us out anymore. Addai (or however the fuck you spell it) looks like he will be really good someday, but not a force this year when we're REALLY going to need it.

Defense again is the Neon flashing sign weakness that will end our season in the second round of the playoffs.

Go TEAM!!!!

Top 5 team now, probably Super Bowl material by the end of the season.
Our RB will go for 2200 yards and 32 TDs.
We lost our QB, but our backup is now better than he was anyway.

The Eagles have the identity of their coach and that's not a good thing. They are emotionless, over-hyped team with poor fundamentals who make bad decisions.

It'll be very interesting to see how they approach the 2nd half of their season. They have a very tough schedule.

I guarantee you if faced with the choice of descending face first into Cinder's gutted yak or devouring an apple turnover, 5 out of 5 KC Paul's would pick the turnover.

Yes, we all know Cinder's gash is that of the oniony cheesesteak variety, not something sweet as an apple turnover.

For years the Broncos identity was “Ball Control Offense” But the first 6 games of the this season proved that those days are over. The first 6 games our identity was “Great Defense” The last two would be “Big Play Offense” Rack Shanahan for opening up the play book and finding ways to make the offense work. Just need to put the two together for that “Super Bowl Bound” identity.

FTF - the Patriots. The Pats are likely to make the playoffs as a wildcard and get shown the door in the divsional round. BB should focus some of next years draft on the secondary.

Oh great, now we have the resident BOARD BITCH giving reach-arounds to division rival fans.

Paul, you couldn't possibly be any more of a dumb-cunt than you just displayed with that.

Oh, and guess what dumbass? Herm is now backing off his "Trent Green is my starter", spiel.

Let me help you out here, dumbshit.

Damon Huard is winning games, period. You don't fix what ain't broke

Seems maybe the Chiefs brain trust is waking up to this fact, just like I said they should and would.

Chiefs: Huard to become full-time starter?
11/07/06 06:54 PM
THE NEWS
The success Damon Huard has enjoyed since filling in for the injured Trent Green could be setting the stage for a permanent switch at Kansas City's quarterback position. Apparently head coach Herm Edwards is now reconsidering his plans to reinsert Green into the starting lineup once he becomes healthy.

Our View
Huard, the second-rated passer in the NFL, has completed 64.5 percent of his passes with 11 touchdowns and just one interception while leading the team to over 30 points three times in his seven starts. Edwards had held that Green, a five-year starter for the team, would return to his job once he recovered from the concussion sustained in the Chiefs' opening game. Green is cleared to practice and dressed for last weeks game game against St. Louis, and he hopes to be ready to play November 19th against Oakland. Time will tell if he gets his job back, but right now it appears that Edwards is preparing everyone for a permanent switch. Huard is an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season.

That's because you have your head perpetually lodged up your colon...

Hint: try reading the post just above yours.

edit: the Hermisms were edited out, because I can't stand listening to or reading what he says.

Sure looks like he knows how to coach a football team though, and that's all I really care about.

Wagon's way of looking at this is definitely not idiotic.
As he said, why fix what ain't broke ... ?
You're winning games and doing a pretty good job offensively.
You toss Green back in there and isn't it possible that you botch-up some of the chemistry that's been formed with Huard in the saddle .... ?

I think you can make a case either way.

Myself, I would hand it back over to Green and take comfort knowing that I've got a guy who the team probably feels pretty good about waiting to take it over if Trent doesn't perform up to expectations.
