Really interesting Clash album, that, although I think they overreached with a triple LP, mainly to wriggle out of a stifling CBS contract. Still, RACK them for making it a single-priced LP in the UK.

The Clash are BY FAR the least talented band to achieve major succeess, but that fact--and they--are entirely irrelevant--in light of Daniel Ortega and the Nicaraguan people climbing back...from the most vicious and Nazi-like aggression visited upon their nation by the utterly criminal gang known to history as the Reagan administration. Most Americans have no clue as to the actual degree of murderous crimes committed by the "contras." How about 30,000 innocent people murdered. And Reagan--even more demented and evil than the pathetic Chimp--called those butchers "the modern equivalent of our Founding Fathers."
Ready for a paradigm change?

...And yet they have more talent than you. Imagine that. Heck, Strummer has more talent than you right this minute, and he's dead.

Well...by virtue of the fact that the fuckwad crapped out and keeled does not..uh, indicate talent.
R-Fader, are you really just a pencil-dick little punk that you can't appreciate the COMING ABOUT of the American political currents?
Do you know ANYTHING of the vicious MURDER inflicted upon the Nicaraguan people by your right-wing asshole idiots?
Have you any idea how much MURDER was committed?
FUCK YOU, you tired little waste of space.

Something About England is an amazing song.
I have always been bizzarely fascinated by Lose This Skin -- the vocals are awful, yet compelling.

Politics aside, I like the Clash. They're a great rock and roll group. People still listen to their tunes twenty years and more later for a reason. Actually, you'd probably be surprised at the number of bands whose politics I think are crap, who I nevertheless think kick ass musically.
You, on the other hand, LT2, would be shit even if you were the truest of true-blue conservatives. That's just how you roll. I thank God you're not on my side.
Memo to Al-Qaeda and friends: Find out where LT2 lives and hit there first.

Of course they weren't very talented. Nor did they want to be. Musical ability was actually frowned upon in this genre. Was more about their little rebellion, angst, constipations, etc. I'll acknowledge their place in "music" but that's about it.
LTS...just curious.....what's the Contra vs. Fidel/Che Guevara murderboard look like?
