Wow, this guy was a real punk. I hope he can get his shit together, but doubtful it will happen. How many people can screw up a second chance in two days.......what an idiot. The sad part it that the guy is totally wasting a golden opportunity. I suppose someday he'll realize it.

Anyway, good riddance. Too bad for CJ and good luck to whatever school decides to take a chance on him. I'm hearing it might actually be Miami.

Do you listen to the DA Show on 610 Sports in KC? DA was saying going off the other day about how poorly Bill Self handled the situation and how he was too quick to boot Giles from the team. I'm not real familiar with the situation, but is there any truth to that?

I live in Phoenix now, so I don't hear any of the local shows........BUT, CJ Giles had just been re-instated to the team less than a week before this alleged incident. Frankly, I think Self went too far in allowing him a second chance. If anything Self was too slow to kick him off the team. Hell, even Brandon Rush didn't stick up for him in the paper. Giles needs more than a change of scenery. He's not a good guy at all. Anybody who says KU acted too fast in throwing him off the team has their head up their ass. With all the problems KU has had the last few months the last thing they need is something like this lingering over their heads. And you all may or may not believe this, but I would throw him off the team even if I knew it would cost Kansas a National Championship. Schools should not put up with this crap, it isn't worth it. The guy had a kid, did not see the kid or support the kid, even when the court ordered him. The guy was involved in a knife fight on campus. The guy dragged a girl out of his apartment by her feet (acknowledged by CJ) then hit her (denied by CJ). He has no place on this team and it should have been quicker as far as I'm concerned.

Not like Mizzou fan has an axe to grind, or anything... but it's now becoming all too easy to take cheap potshots at that 'pristine' program in Lawrence.
