Was it a bone break?

If it was, I hope he doesn't come back.

Bones are brittle after a break and he stands a good chance of gettng a rebreak. better to hold off til the bowl game than risk a reinjury.

OU beats Baylor without Peterson. With Bell out the Waco-boys are no threat. I'd hold Peterson out til the bowl or (if ATM can pull an upset) the 12 championship.

My bad, I forgot about the OSU game. I'd play him there. But I would still skip Baylor to be safe. Guys have been known to come back too soon and have setbacks, even though a Dr signed-off on them playing.

Glad to see him back. He's fun to watch <--understatement. I'd play him sparingly the final game (before bowl or possible Big 12 championship) to get the rust off and some timing back.

I remember L.Phillips, fresh of suspension, making an appearance in the Oklahoma game to do the very same. Dude's timing was off and he looked a little out of shape. Come Fiesta Bowl time, he was light's out and put on a helluva a show.

Would love to see an OU vs. Nebraska championship game! No offense Texas fan.

Thanks for the bad news.

I love watching that guy... but I think it's in his best interest to sit.

The OU running backs (history) are on a par with $C and the best ever. I hope I can see him one more time in a college game (selfish).

Good, I like Gutierrez, we both went to SA Madison, he is the only Sooner I can ever root for.

Is Gutierrez #21 or something? If so, he seemed a little slow for D1 football.

I dont know much about Big 8  football, but #23 seemed like a good fit. Not sure who he is.

Like much of the fans around the country, we only see a small part of the other teams games.

That's what I was thinking.

Great. I was hoping OU would be without him on Dec. 2
