Besides Bettman & Goodenow:
Winner: Jean Belliveau, Sidney Crosby, Brian Burke, Pierre Maguire
All of them said what was on their minds, and where subject to the vitriol of the NHLPA mafioso.
Losers: Corey Cross, Chelios the bobsledding loudmouth fag, Glen Healy, Gary Galley
All of these asswipes came across as the biggest rumheads in a long time. Cross was a complete fag. He was completely ripped to shreds by Mike Toth. One of the funniest interviews ever. Toth: "I go to see Ryan Smyth play...I do not go to see Corey Cross"
ps. I will ban anyone who says the fans are the biggest losers. Get over it.

The biggest losers are the ones who sat holding their breath thinking there would ever be a season, especially during this past week.
The NHLPA are fucking losers for taking it this far insisting 'No cap, no cap, no cap" and then accepting a cap.
The Euro's and their soon to be Premier League are the big winners.

Losers: The NHLPA. They will never even see a deal close to the one the NHL offered today. The NHLPA better get used to a $25 million cap, because that's what they are going to get.

i reckon that Goodenow will take one for the players when the owners bring in replacements...
and btw the NFL broke the players union in 1987 by staging replacement games.

Winners: Fans in big markets. When a cap is finally put into place, it will be the kick in the ass that teams like the Rangers and Leafs need to actually invest in scouting and drafting well. To the Leafs credit, they have done a pretty good job the last few years, and the baby Leafs are having a great season. With a cap in place they can't so easily trade away youth for washed-up overpaid bums like they have in the past.

Biggest losers: The NHL player agents %...The CBC for still having to pay Maclean.
Biggest winners: All non-NHL tainted hockey/ Sat nite movies on CBC fans.
Unrelated Comment: I'm not understanding why Non-NHL hockey isn't being carried by the non-cable networks in my neck. I'd love to see a Moose game aboot now.
Specially not getting why the CBC didn't carry that Jr. Series.
Maybe now they will get their head outta the NHL's ass.
Hockey is still the greatest game on earth, and I for one would even settle for some PeeWee Night In Canada...WooHoo.
