USC as...Poltergeist? I LIKE it! It's on, m2...

Enjoy...

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2663286

Like the saying goes, be careful what you wish for...

...'cause you got what you claim to've wanted and now here we are, lying in wait for you...

....here, in your eternal House Of Horrors...

Image

That ain't Strawberry Shortcake there, m2. That's the L.A. fuggen Coliseum, the real deal. That's where Rose Bowl berths are earned. That's where champions go to prove themselves.

That's where Cal has never won a meaningful game in the modern era. USC hasn't lost there in over five years. USC will defend that house.

There's ghosts there, m2, real football ghosts. Beware, as they do not look favorably upon gutless road teams like Cal.

So, has the mere sight of that place made you shit yourself again yet?

Hate to break the news to you, Vannie.

But, we've won the last 3 of 5 games in that shithole you call south central.

You can make that 4 of 6 after the game of the year!

Little does ESPN know... the speed is out West and it kills, and Cal is loaded!

This is why the MNC always comes through the PAC 10.

Hate to break it to you, m2, but like I said, you've never won a meaningful game in that building during your lifetime.

"Meaningful" might describe a win that leads to a Rose Bowl berth, which Cal hasn't earned in your lifetime, precisely because they can never win games like the one they're playing there this upcoming weekend.

How's that Oh-For-Your-Lifetime drought weighing on you there anyway, Mr Cubs (Cal or Chicago, take your pick) Fan?

Hell, I almost hope you win this Saturday just so the world can bear witness to the heretofore unseen spectacle that would be Gloating Cal Fan Headed Off To A Rose Bowl...

I'm just betting that you'd be OH SO CLASSY in victory...

Bwaa.

As long as OJ doesn't lop anybody's dome off then it should be an uneventful affair.

Help me out.....for the last 4 years it's been that place, but what about the 15+ before then......Oh wait, that's where sun bowl berths were earned. Sorry......

As long as OJ doesn't then also get Fox to give him a prime time slot to describe how he would lop domes if he actually had lopped domes.

Uhh, too late.

I never knew OJ could write.

Stay out of this, ND Fan! This is about Cal, not some real program like yours.

Also, USC still won Rose Bowls in those previous fifteen years of dogshit. Cal couldn't manage even one Rose Bowl berth even during an era when the road was clear of USC being in the way every year...

(And anyway, if there's anything ND Fan shouldn't be mentioning, considering their far reaching recent post season history, it's...bowl games.)

In other words, you've lost your last two at USC.

That's because USC is in the Pac-10. No other reason.

You guys do realize that if USC loses and UF loses the tOSU v Michigan matchup will be a pre-game matchup for the BCS championship.

For that reason alone I am pulling for SC and UF to make my New Year a little more interesting.

Possibly, but it will depend on the score. If ND wins out, they will be in the mix as well.

I said before the season ND vs. OSU for the NC with OSU winning. It could happen.

If Notre Dame wins out and has 1 loss and Michigan loses to Ohio State and has 1 loss, I would have an extremely hard time sending Notre Dame to play Ohio State over Michigan after Michigan went to South Bend and kicked the hell out of the Irish.
If Ohio State loses, then maybe I could see Notre Dame possibly wanting in to the discussion
I know, thats a lot of if's

heres a couple more if's
If USC, Nebraska and Arkansas win out then USC will have had wins this year over the Big 12 champion, the SEC Champion and the #1 Independent, that would make it hard to vote against USC playing in the title game.

If USC wins out, there are no ifs about it. USC will play for the NC, no matter what else happens.

odd thing is, I would rather see USC in the Rose Bowl, but I would hate for them to lose any of these last 3 games.

That's a lock.

SoCalTrjn's right though. The only way ND gets in is if Michigan beats OSU.

Trix seems to think that Arkansas is more deserving of a higher ranking and a spot in the BCS title if they win out than USC would be if the Trojans won out.... even though the Trojans beat the Pigs 50-14 in Fayetteville.
Hes even gone as far to call me names in pms because I dont agree
now we have a board bitch and pm bitch?

No way, no how a one loss Arkansas team deserves to get in over a one loss USC team.

50-14, head to head, in their house? (Coming off of a 70 point output the previous year, so Arkansas had ALL the motivation in the world to be up big time for their home opener against us THIS year...)

That settles any debate there.
