B-t-H, I showed my LSU buddy your post and he said to tell you that while those rumors have been floating around seemingly forever the fact is that Flynn is still saying that he's sticking it out at LSU.

Flynn says he's not going anywhere, period.

Jsc, you're convinced now that JaMarcus is leaving early?

Dunno. Really. I don't. Can't imagine why anybody would stay. Totally dumbass decision.

-Matt Leinart

(In reality though, and unlike Leinart who completely blew it by passing up the certainty of being a #1 pick, Russell could increase his draft pick value by sticking around at LSU for another year. If he keeps improving he could go from being a 10-15 pick all the way up to a Top 5 pick and there's a whole lotta $$ difference between those two levels...)

That's about where he's slotted right now, Jsc. Last draft analysis I saw had him right around 12th and I've seen him ranked anywhere from 10th through 15th.

I haven't seen one yet that had him in the Top 5 but that could easily change as he keeps showing more and more polish and less and less propensity for his usual brain farts. He's got all the physical gifts in the world, obviously. Watching him in warm ups before the 'Bama game, christ but that dude is big and he's got such an easy, fluid throwing motion.

Total canon for an arm. 45 yard out patterns on a clothesline are just an easy swing pass effort for him.

He's VY, only with proper throwing mechanics, even more size and, being a more traditional pocket passer rather than a runner/"athlete", less potential of always getting hurt.

who could pass up an opportunity to be coached by Les Miles another year?

"Like VY" in that he's a huge, black, athletic QB (somewhat, in Russell's case) with a howitzer attached to his right shoulder, a guy who could easily bolt for the NFL following his junior season!

him being "black" is great,--he's just like Vince Young. you are a free thinker Van.

I haven't heard anything about Flynn transfering. Everything i've heard on campus is that the three quarterbacks are very close and it is expected that Flynn will be at LSU no matter what next season.
