Hey Luth, who's leading the Death Pool .... ?

We're not that far from the finish line, and I don't believe any of my selections (Red Schoendienst, Joe Cocker, Abe Vigoda, Tim Meadows, Betty Ford) have clocked out yet, ....... the fucking pricks.
To help me with my Board cred', the least they could do is speed it up.
I'm thinking all except Tim Meadows (and maybe Joe Cocker) probably piss in a pan right now anyway.
Quality of life ... ?
Heeeeeee llooooooo ....
Whatever.
Thinking perhaps I didn't put enough thought into my '06 selections, I'm doing some 'studying up' right now for the '07 contest.
I'll be using a variation of the Sagarin Rating System.
Strength of surgery, joints allowed, etc. ... will be weighed heavily.

The Seer is comfortably ahead and should easily win this year. He already has Tookie and Zarqawi to his credit.
Supposedly, the Seer wishes to use his twenty dollar winnings and order up some BBQ sauce from IndySauceco. I won't post the 2007 thread until about Dec. 15. This year we are not going to be able to use anybody on death row. We still require a little notriety in our picks so that will rule out the Seer heading down to some care facility and getting the list of prunes who are on life support.

I know a few of us took a flyer with somebody relatively young, just because of the potential points they brought in. In my case, I took Denis Leary, although at least I had an identifiable reason -- that chain-smoking is guaranteed to put him in an early grave. Just not this year, apparently.

Luth, I like your ideas, man. Maybe we could develope a BCS type rating system, and apply it to this here contest.
Yea, I took a relative young pup, trying to score a few points.
Scott Weiland of Velvet Revolver.
Dude's never met a drug he didn't like, and abuse.
He just wasn't a team player this year; although, I look for him to come back strong in the '07 season. It seems like he does better stayin' off the stuff when things are going real good; but once they come in off the road, and he has a month or two to relax, that's when he finds himself staring down the nose of a needle.

I believe McGlaughlin Group had a 4/5 this past Friday, saying we would start to pull out within 6 months. Of course Blankley says Bush will ignore the Baker Iraq study group and "stay the course".
