At times he annoys (still havent seen Cuba Libra or whatever the fuck that was called). At times he entertains (Shallow Hal). But this one is actually his baby so I think it will be worth the money and time.

Plus I like the music.

Okay, you had to see this coming....

Cause it's the Pick!
Of Destiny child,
you know I will be rockin' cause it's fucking insane!

Cause it's the Pick!
Of Destiny child,
my presense is a diamond on a platinum chain!

In Venice Beach, there was a man named Kage
When he was buskin' he was on the rage.
He met Jables and he taught him well,
all the techniques that were developed in hell.
Cock pushups and the power slide,
geek simulation now there's nowhere to hide.
They formed a band they named Tenacious D,
and then they got the Pick of Destiny.

Cause it's the Pick!
Of Destiny child,
you know I will be rockin' cause it's fucking insane!

Cause it's the Pick!
Of Destiny child,
our tasty grooves are better than a chicken chow main!

Cause he who is sleazy,
is easy to pleasy.
And she who is juicy,
must be loosy-goosey.
And he who is groovy,
will be in my movie,
so come on!

The wizard and the demon had a battle royale,
the demon almost killed him with an evil kapow,
but then he broke his tooth and thus the demon said ow.

Cause it's the Pick!
Of Destiny child,
you know I will be rockin' cause it's fucking insane!

Cause it's the Pick!
Of Destiny child,
you know our movie's better than the Citizen Kane!

Cause he who's a geezer,
must live in my freezer.
And she who is stockey,
is full of mularkey.
And he who is groovy,
must be in my movie,
so come on!

Oh! Cause if you're a diva,
then go to Geneva.
And if you're a carny,
then suck on my bony.
And if you are groovy,
then get in my movie!

It's called the Pick of Destiny!
The Pick of Destiny.

Jaysus. One thing I've noticed from Dio over the years, is that if the music has reached the dusty, bottom corners of .99cent-bindom, he'll inevitably latch onto it.

I'm with you. I don't get Tenacious D at all. IMO, nothing worse than a spoof band that takes themselves seriously. Unless I just don't get it.

Oh, it gets much worse. If I'm not mistaken, Dio is actually a wide-eyed 13 year old school girl, snugged tightly inside the frame of a middle aged fatbody, as he actually digs the "poetic artistry" that is...Jewel.

One of the worst posters of all-time actually likes one of the worst pieces of cinematic drek of all-time. That movie is about as watchable as bearing witness to you serving up yet another steaming pile of refried rhino shit, bolding it, and then mashing the submit button.

She's on that Studio 60 show now. It took me an hour after the show to remember where I knew her from.

Dio has rocked for a long long time.
Now the time has come to pass the torch.

If by that you mean in the repetitive motion of a retard, you are correct.

Did not read the thread but I will "burn and return" as soon as this movie comes out on DVD.

The days of going to the movies are over.

That's what you think. Once your kid's old enough for The Incredibles 3, you'll be in line for popcorn all the time.

Going to the theater's basically a $50 expense these days...which is ok when the movie is passably good. The Pixar stuff is usually entertaining.

welcome to my world. i can't remember the last movie i went to at the theater where the adults outnumbered the kids.
3rd, and the kids movies do a better job of living up to the hype. Anyway, we go to the $1.50 theater with the kids, they have all the new releases within a couple of months and it costs us half the price.

R-Jack,
I think the kids tickets are $6 or so, but we seem to spend more on popcorn & snacks at the cheap theater. When we take them to the regular theater we bring our own candy.

It didn't even crack the top-10 and only made $1,620 per screen on nearly 2,000 screens. Now maybe Jack Black can go disappear for awhile until his next shitty movie comes out.

They had one of those in one of the cities in SoCal that I used to live in. They attract quite the pleasant demographic don't they? Don't know about your burg, but around mine that theater attracted nothing but trailer trash and ghetto blacks. You were guaranteed to have one group of people "Bwahahahaha" their way through the movie while another "Don't go in there, girl!!"-ed their way through it, while some other shlub answered repeated cell phone calls in the back rows of the theater and spoke loud enough that no one could hear the fucking movie. We'd take the kids there for the occasional Pixar or similar flick, since kids all yap through most features anyway, but that's about it. Otherwise, we'd either shell out the $8 for movies that looked good or wait for video. The $1.50 theater seriously blows.
