Thanks to LAX and an appology to Frisco...

First thing first I need to say I am sorry to Frisco for dropping the ball and leaving him holding all the responsibility for the pick'em game. I signed on for another year and I have left you with all the responsibility.
Next, I need to say thanks to Lax for dropping me a line and telling me to get my ass in here. Thanks lax.
Now for the update. On Oct 25th, my birthday I was involved in a car accident that was not my fault and left me in the hospital for 4 days. I now have a cast on my right leg that extends from the foot to the middle of my thigh. After getting out of the hospital I spent three nights at a rehab facility learning how to do everything from just sitting up to taking a crap. This past Monday I had a new cast put on that is just above the knee.
I spent a good amount of time hopped up on pain pills and then the depression set in. The accident took me back to my dad's and I spent a ton of time wondering about him and also wondering how I only ended up with a couple broken bones. I then moved on to being bummed about not being able to fly, not being able to work a charter to Columbus where I had a ticket to OSU v Michigan, not being able to go to ATM v NU, not being able to officiate, and having to have my wife or mom around at all times just to be able to live.
Finally about a week ago my wife got pissed at my attitude and totally kicked my ass. She yelled for about 5 minutes and told me that I was lucky and that I would be fine physically in a few months. Turns out Lax called the next day and wanted to know what was up with me. Since then I have been doing pretty good and have gotten back into the booth and am calling HS playoff games in the play by play seat.
So there is the scoop for any of you who were wondering. Also, for you recruiting freaks listen in to our game Saturday night as there are commitments to TX, OU, ATM, Miami, and N. Texas. You can find it on the web at http://www.radiosugarland.com at 6:00pm Saturday.
