Usc played their rival for MNC stakes.

Karl Dorrell has 2 weeks and watching this game to prepare a gameplan next week.

Final Score:

Usc - 48

Karl Dorrell - 10

You guys have two weeks off to prepare and it's another rivalry game, only we're coming right off an even bigger rivalry game...

Hmmm. I guess then we ought to expect another relatively close Hangover Game, like the '04 game at your place.

Question...

A win over USC this week insures a bowl bid for UCLA and it also likely saves Dorrell's job, at least for a little while. This being the case, what's the tenor of the players over in Westwood these days? Will they run through a brick wall to save that guy's job or are they already mentally off on vacation somewhere, glad that this latest nightmare of a season is mercifully coming to a close?

Anyway...

USC-35
UCLA-22

There are only 2 possible positive outcomes next week for Bruinfans

1. Beat SC

2. Lose by a huge margin and put more pressure on our Hackett/Dorrell...

I'm a lean toward #2.

I know what Bruin Fan wants. I'm wondering though whether Bruin Player is also feeling #2?

No one is giving UCLA a chance. Even Duhrell is smart enough to play that up. With almost zero expectations there's no pressure either to win or lose big. Petey won't overlook the Bruins but I think that USC will probably play to the level of their opponent. It'll be within seven points.

'04 then, all over again...

I just have a feeling USC will score enough to at least move it a little beyond seven points.

USC can't afford a hangover. A scabdick-W may not keep them above Mich or Florida(assuming they beat Ark). USC needs to make a statement. If I'm a voter my mind is by-no-means set yet as to who should play for the crown.
