Not a good month for Snoop Dogg

BURBANK, Calif. (AP) - Snoop Dogg was arrested Tuesday for investigation of illegally possessing a handgun and drugs as he left NBC Studios after performing on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," police said.
The 35-year-old rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, and two members of his entourage were arrested around 6 p.m. after a search of his Diamond Bar home and car, Sgt. Kevin Grandalski said.
Police seized a handgun and some illegal drugs, Grandalski said. He did not have details.
The sergeant said the rapper was arrested for investigation of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possessing cocaine, transporting marijuana and having a false compartment in his vehicle, Grandalski said.
"He was in a car pulling out of the studio" when police stopped him, said Donald Etra, the rapper's attorney.
Etra said he believed Broadus was booked at the jail for investigation of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. He made bail of $60,000 and was released shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday, about seven hours after his arrest.
"As of this point, he stands innocent of all charges," Etra said. "The goal tonight was to get him out of jail. The goal tomorrow is to deal with the case."
The rapper was expected to be arraigned on Jan. 11, Etra said.
Two acknowledged gang members who are associates of Broadus also were taken into custody, Grandalski said.
Michael Mingo, 33, of Lakewood, was arrested for investigation of possessing burglary tools and Lovell Polk, 36, of Moreno Valley, was arrested for an outstanding warrant, Grandalski said. He did not know the nature of the warrant.
The arrests stemmed from an investigation that followed the rapper's Oct. 26 arrest at Bob Hope Airport here after airport police said they found a gun and marijuana in his car, Grandalski said.
"Additional follow-up investigation led detectives to obtaining the search warrant," the sergeant said. He did not have details.
No charges have been filed in that case but Broadus has a Dec. 12 court appearance for an arraignment.
Etra said the rapper also has a Dec. 4 arraignment in Orange County following his Sept. 27 arrest for investigation of carrying a deadly weapon at John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana.
Security officers said they found a collapsible baton in the entertainer's carry-on luggage. The rapper told deputies at the time of his arrest that the baton was a prop for a movie.
The rapper was convicted in 1990 of cocaine possession and was charged with gun possession after a 1993 traffic stop. Facing a possible three years in prison, he pleaded guilty in exchange for three years' probation and his promise to make anti-violence public service announcements.
He was acquitted of murder in 1996 following the death of an alleged street gang member killed by gunfire from the vehicle in which he was traveling.
Dude has all the money he needs, yet still insists on living the "gangsta life." (Refer to Demographic thread).
And I'm guessing that since a good percentage of the people around these parts know Snoop's uncle's BBQ Ribs joint (in a white tweeker/illegal mexican neighborhood) is just a money laundering scheme for Snoop's drug trade, don't be suprised to see Snoop(and Uncle Reo) indicted in Oregon sometime soon.
But he gets major Cred Points.

I saw about 30 seconds of Snoop on the Jay Leno show.
Leno was standing on the side with his hand in the air, waving it back and forth (as prompted) like he was really digging it, man.
The audience did the same.
It was extremely embarassing.

One would think after selling millions of albums and what not that Snoop would have no need to take that kind of risk. Oh well, I'm sure he'll get off on that as well.

Bob Saget was on that show and was so fucking high on cocaine it was funny as hell just to watch him try and stay focused. It was classic. So I'm thinking he and Snoop musta hooked up in the Green Room......

I knew there was a reason I switched the channel.
Bob Saget = Homer Simpson shudder.
As for Snoop, rap music is this decade's answer to disco. Watching the average whitebread try and get all gangsta jiggy is just painfully embarrasing to watch.
Witness Jessica Simpson trying to be all "you-go-girl sassy" in that gawdawful TV commercial, Bob Saget doing rap, or Nishlord's desire to hang with the dude who wears giant alarm clocks around his neck.
Jebus.

Since I don't frequent that neighborhood that Dins refers too, I did not know that Reo was Snoops kin.
But it all becomes real clear now. The OL and I are coming back from Beaverton and decide to stop at Reos Ribs, because it fucking smells so damn good from the road.
We walk in and this sawed off spic wearing a crips do rag is behind the counter, and dude is soooooo stoned he can't even keep his eyes open. Got the sawed off attitude to go with it as well. Acts like I am the white honkey mother fucker I am. The OL asks a couple of questions about the menu and spic catches a bit of an attitude.
I tell him that if maybe he wasn't so fucking high he might comphrend what was going on. The OL jabs meet as he calls me a pinchee pendajo, and I call his madre esta la punta . He glares at me, but takes my money and shuts the fuck up. The OL thinks were going to get whacked, but I never sit with my back to the door or the counter ANY place I go, AND I was packing (legally) as well.
Reo comes out and bitches the short spic out, but does not say anything to me.
The fucking ribs may have smelled good, but they did not taste that well, and the quanity was small. Not going back... there's more crime in that 10 block strecth of suburbia than any place on the west side.

Way to stick it to the man, tough guy. Your massive economic impact will just have to be felt in less hardcore suburban locales. What's the appropriate drink for a dude (legally) packing heat and not sitting with his back to the door at Chili's anyways? An Electric Blue Lemonade or a Mango Tango Chocolatini?
