The Hogs are now ahead 21-17...all debate over whether or not Michigan should be playing the Buckeyes again should be dead and buried if that holds true.

The tougher schedule worked in USC's favor when they passed Michigan in the polls...I don't see how it won't be any different with Florida. I would obviously want Michigan to get the nod but I would understand why the Gators got in ahead of them.

Why should UM get jumped twice while not playing? SOS would mean nothing if UM's season continued another week with let's say a trip to play Hawaii. I just don't want to see UM penalized for their season ending two weeks ago, or for the fact that they reside in the same conference as the #1 team in the land. I don't care how they fared against the mighty SEC (whatever)...UM is the second best team in the country this year. Michigan is a better team than Florida. Offensively UM is better, Defense is a push at best for UF, special teams are all UM. Florida of all schools shouldn't bitch about two teams playing for the second time to decide the champion.

Why don't you go ahead and finish decorating the conference homer Christmas tree and say that 8 or 9 teams in the SEC would roll Ohio State?

no, 8 or 9 sec teams wouldn't roll tOSU, just as 8 or 9 big 10 teams wouldn't do it. About all you can say for the big 10 is they have 2 really good teams, whereas the sec has 1 really good team. Beyond that, The sec is as good or better than the big 10.

Is michigan better than florida? Maybe. I'll even go with probably, but, the difference is that the wolverines have already had a shot at the buckeyes. The gators haven't.

Well, yet another year that this joke of a bowl system is gonna produce a national champ along with another team that can lay claim to it, but, for some ridiculous sytem of picking national champ contenders.

Until there is a minimum 4, preferably 8 team playoff, the national championship with remain as mythical as ever. The real mind boggling part of this is the ginormous payday the ncaa is passing up.

When Michigan won their eleven games and when Michigan's season ended isn't the reason Michigan may end up getting leapfrogged twice here at the end of the season. Nobody's penalizing Michigan for having their season end earlier than other teams. No, the reason they may end up getting leapfrogged twice at the end is simple: First, their eleven wins were less impressive than USC's ten wins. Now their eleven wins are less impressive than Florida's twelve wins.

It's the relative lack of quality wins that's hurting them vs Florida, not the timing of their wins.

I'll second smackaholic's take that yeah, I suspect that Michigan might actually be better than Florida but the season Florida just completed definitely provides the stronger argument for gaining admittance into the title game.

Is there a team you are not a diehard fan of?
