methinks the defending champs App St. will get beaten in the title game by the Griz of Montana.

Wow...going with Montana in the 1AA playoffs?
Don't pull a muscle by stretching too far out on that limb, Marcus.
Oh, and I'm going with Montana in the 2011 1AA championship, too.
Let me guess...you're early 2007 MNC pick is USC?

You are early 2007 MNC pick...? What does that even mean?
And, don't we have a Montana fan on the board? GrizzBearStare or something? If we've got one on board, I'll root for them.
Go Montana, as long as OU isn't on TV the same night.

I'm contractually obligated to use gratuitous apostrophes.
I think there's a second Griz fan on board these days, even.
Montana is an absolute powerhouse in 1AA.
Unfortunately, they play in the same Big Sky as my 1AA rooting interest, so fuck'em.
Portland Stae WILL own that division in the near future.

It's not a shoo-in, d. App St. are the defending champs, and Umass and Youngstown are all past champs as well. This should be two classic games that lead to a great and true national championship game.

See Umass beat Montana, but they are not gonna beat App St. The Mountaineers are just too powerful!

Attendence, predetermined, or a little of both.
However it doesnt matter. They are playing on a neutral field in Tenn

Yes, they are, Griz. Sucks to be Grizfan in a few years. But when a team that has way more money that its competitors decides to recruit to an urban campus, touting the "night life" to the recruits, it makes it tough for a redneck town to pull in the top-tier 1AA recruits. The AD(s) have done an outstanding job so far to get PSU back to its old D2 glory. Heck, they even play hoops there again.
Of course, for recruiting purposes, they can always tell the kids "well, at least the Pacific Athletic Conference, the Conference of Champions, didn't tell our school to fuck off."

I don't understand the reference. Who did the Pac-10 tell to fuck off?

Didn't Montana used to play with Oregon, Oregon State, UDub, Cal, USC, and all those teams? I think Idaho was in there at some point.
But then, those who had evolved past the Neanderthal stage decided that the Montana kids smelled funny, and said "later, fools."
I think that's how it happened, anyway.

Right, the PCC. Not quite sure what's with the digs at Montana, but whatever.
