The Ultimate BCS Clusterf*ck Scenario...

Okay...
OSU loses to Florida.
Michigan POUNDS USC, like worse than USC pounded OU a couple of long, painful years ago.
(I can't believe I'm typing this...) Boise soundly beats OU.
Legitmately, not 1, not 2, but 3 teams could lay claim to a National Championship. Florida by winning, Michigan, by using the USC in 2003, math, and Boise by finishing undefeated and winning a BCS bowl. ("Can't say we didn't play anybody now, can you, fucker?")
I do NOT, NOT, NOT, NOT, NOT want to see anything other than OU buttfuck Boise in the mouth and send them back to their blue field with a chapped black and blue ass... but if the unthinkable (and from here on, unspeakable) happens, then I want the rest of it to play out like that too. It would be... glorious.
Any thoughts?

Exactly my sentiments, only if Boise manages to beat OU, there's still no way they'd be in the mix because they are still ranked too low and a win over a 2-loss OU team wouldn't be nearly enough, even if the other two results played out. If Boise were ranked #3 or #4 on the other hand ...
As it is, I want to see Michigan beat USC by 20+ and Fla beat tOSU, with the AP awarding their national title to Mich -- just to fuck the BCS and the apologist honks with a split MNC.
That's about the best myself and fellow system haters can hope for anyway.
Who is it that's been using the sig lately, Bace, no? "The power of negative thinking." :D

Here's a thought...
Michigan ended the regular season ranked either second or third in the AP/UPI/'Puter polls. USC ended the regular season in '03 as a consensus #1 in both the relevant polls. So, comparing Michigan's "math" this season to USC's in '03 is a total non starter.
Otherwise, I'm right there with you, right down to wanting (but not really wanting) my team to get pummeled...for the Greater Good Of The Game. Anything that's bad for the BCS, hey, we gotta root for it.

RF, in order to really bring about even the possibility of your split title scenario we can't have Florida killing OSU. No, they need to win a squeaker, maybe even on a bad call or three. Otherwise, if Florida just kills Ohio St, nope, there's no way to stick Michigan alongside 'em as an equal.
Michigan would have no argument then. Now, yeah, if Florida just ekes by on a bad call or something and Michigan destroys USC then maybe the AP might see things your way. Doubtful, but possible. The problem there would still be that AP is going to be loathe to give the title to a team who wasn't their #1 over the team who beat their #1.

Agree, Van.
Although I think it depends on how many writers would vote opposite of what the BCS honks would like, just to stick it to them. Is a PAC 10 crew calling the MNC game? :)

Michigan shouldn't have a claim for the national title under any scenario...period. If Florida wins, that means Florida had accomplished something Michigan didn't do...beat Ohio State. There would be no justification for the AP to give Michigan a share of the national title no matter how much they beat USC by.

it ain't gonna happen hoss.....OU will probably win, but they are not going to run roughshod over BSU.....
a year ago that might have been the case......but this isn't that team......
Boise State is better than you (and virtually everyone else in here) think and they'll prove it New Years Day.....

Boise State has gotten awfully cocky from getting fat off creampuffs.
I think the kings of "let's schedule one halfway decent game a season" are in for a suprise when they face the type of athletes a real football school puts out there.
And if All Day is back for the bowl...should be funny. The Single game rushing record (421, right?) might fall that day.

Yeah, that's what I thought.
You must have me confused with a USC fan, the all-time leaders in excuse making*.

Huh?
Oregon State WAS playing horrible football over the first few weeks of the season. They got much better later on, as is evident from the victory over USC.
While you've taken that statement out of context, it wasn't an "excuse" at any rate. People from across the country who are less familiar with the PAC10 than myself, in particular the Northwest schools, were wondering how USC could lose to an Oregon State team with a less-than-stellar record. I merely offered an explaination.
If you think I'd offer an excuse for USC losing...you don't know me very well.
So, the count is currently sitting at 0-1.
As far as the socond "excuse" you quoted...
Nope. Guess again.
That was merely commentary to counter some of the one-sided bullshit being posted in regard to the Oregon Oklahoma game. People were still dwelling on one call, I was just pointing out that if OU hadn't been the beneficiary of some very lopsided officiating earlier, the refs never would have been in the positon to make a bad call on the onsides kick(which they clearly did).
Not an "excuse," just offering perspective for the people who either were too deep in the homerism to see the whole picture, or saw Sportscenter and think they know what happened throughout the course oif the game.
Maybe you could apply a little common sense here Felix -- why the fuck would I be making "excuses" when MY team won the game?...Dumbass.
On the contrary -- it was OU fan who has been making excuses for the last couple of months. Although in their defense, they've generally been pretty cool about the deal. If you blame a loss on the officiating, chances are you didn't play well enough to win in the first place, and OU fan understands this...because he apparently isn't as dumb as BSU fan).
So, the count is now at 0-2.
As a general rule, when my teams lose, I make one excuse and one excuse only -- the other team was better that day. That usually what causes losses, no? And why would I, or anyone else on the planet for that matter, want to offer up an excuse when their team wins? Are you smoking crack?
So, in two attempts to prove an unprovable point(because it never happened), you've come up empty twice. One of those attempts was so fucking stupid, it was comical("excuses" for a victory). And newsflash -- no matter how many statements you take out of context, it's not going to work out for you.
But if you want to continue this game, I'm pretty freaking sure I can look through statements you've made, take them out of context, and prove beyond all shadow of doubt that you've had sex with half the men on this board, and several animals to boot.
But I won't do that...because that's what tards do...sup, Felix?

so that
excuse....er.....explains why BSU
KICKED THE SHIT out of them, because apparently somebody forgot to tell them when the season started......
it wasn't just a win Dins, it was a flat out ass-kicking.....plain and simple.....but somehow you'll spin it that Oregon State wasn't up for the game (although close games in the previous years might indicate to the OSU guys that BSU comes to play), or they overlooked BSU or something else......
but I understand, it's an explanation and not an excuse.......
sorry, my bad......

Let's cut to the chase, Felix -- are you seriously going to now try and sit there and argue that OSU wasn't playing horrible football at the beginning of the season?
Really?
It took games against two VERY shitty 1AA and mid(being generous)-majors to get early season victories.
You DO realize that there was an enormous campaign before midseason to "fire Riley," right? That even the top boosters went public and bitched about the program, right? That the starting QB was assaulted by his own student section during a(nother) loss, right?
So, do you think this was because they had one bad game, or do you think it was indicative of a trend?
Think hard now, Felix.
Dude...P-E-R-S-E-C-T-I-V-E. It's your word for the day.
Off the top of my head, I believe the ONLY PAC team that BSU has EVER beaten is the Oregon State Doormats. And what is BSU against teams from BCS conferences now? Something like 3-15 all-time, or something like that?
Felix...I see you working. I too am a big proponent of "talk your shut early, because you may not have the opportunity to do so after the game." I engage in quite a bit of that myself. But you've now gone beyond the realm of "shit-talking," and have now delved into "lying." It's a not-so-fine-line between the two.

Pretty good, off the top of your head:
0-1 against Arizona State
1-4 against Oregon State
0-1 against UCLA
0-4 against Washington State
Criminy, they’re only 3-5 all-time against Cal St-Long Beach.

I'd heard some stats on that stuff at some point during the season.
You can always tell the fans from the perennial bitch-ass teams...they're always the ones doing the most yapping when their team has a good year...notice I said "good," and not "great"?
But I'm sure Felix will be along shortly to make some
excuses as to why Boise State can't EVER beat a decent team from a
real conference.
I think Oregon just laughs at them when they call. Oregon already has that "traditional rivalry" thing with Idaho from the old-conference days. Fresno State used to be the class of that conference, and signing deals with them hasn't dome much to advance Oregon's program, and it sure the fuck hasn't helped Fresno State. Screw the mid majors.

of course not....that's the only reason BSU beat them was because they were playing so shitty.....BSU's victory had nothing to do with how good they played, but rather had everything to do with how bad OSU played....I get it.....

once again it was how bad OSU played with no credit to BSU......

don't forget to bring up how bad BSU got beat by Georgia last year......
and that it took a last minute field goal to beat San Jose.......
so on paper, why even play the bowl let's just hand OU the trophy...
fuck the game, lets get hammered and troll for skanks.....

You really aren't understandint the idea that I put OSU's season in
perspective for some of the posters here who didn't understand what was going on Out West. Many here were scratching their head at the notion that Oregon State could beat USC, yet get rolled by BSU.
So, why don't you go ahead and show me one fucking thing I said that offered commentary on how BSU did or didn't play in that game?
One thing...c'mon, you can do it...oh, wait...no, you can't. Never happened. But you're welcome to spend your afternoon searching through my posts to find this phantom bit of posting that you're basing your entire argument(actually, there is no argument, but you're despearte to make one) on.
I'm sure that in your mind, if the two teams were to play today that OSU would win 50-0.......
If you
actually followed BSU football when they weren't looking at a BCS bowl, you might realize that home field advantage makes a significant difference in this matchup. Then again, the Boisians are so fucking dumb, they don't even know what color turf is supposed to be.
I've got perspective to burn bud
Really?
Is "perspective" what causes a person to all of a sudden think their team name should be the Fighting Trojan Huskers because they rolled through a schedule that a Pop Warner team would be ashamed of, when throughout many years of football history, they've been the absolute BITCH of every
real team they've ever faced?
Your definition of "perspective" is dramatically different from mine, to be sure.
don't forget to bring up how bad BSU got beat by Georgia last year......
and that it took a last minute field goal to beat San Jose.......
A little hint to the midmajor fans -- when you have to hang your hat on two individual games, it's probably a great time to shut your fucking mouth and win a few games before you start gumming up your keyboard talking about how great you are.
so on paper, why even play the bowl let's just hand OU the trophy...
That would probably result in a great deal more pride in the offseason for BSU, but I'd much rather watch the absolute pummelling that's going to go down.
fuck the game, lets get hammered and troll for skanks.....
Compromise -- we'll get hammered
during the game, and
score some skanks
after the game.
Dinsdale doesn't "troll for skanks" -- he SCORES skanks, dammit. It's what sets me apart from the JTR's and Boise State fans of the world.

you're a big perspective guy Dins.....so let me ask you this.....did Oregon State beat USC or did SC lose to the Beavs......
choose wisely my friend, your PERSPECTIVE is riding on it.......
If you actually followed BSU football when they weren't looking at a BCS bowl, you might realize that home field advantage makes a significant difference in this matchup. Then again, the Boisians are so fucking dumb, they don't even know what color turf is supposed to be.
If I actually followed BSU football? I've been a season ticket holder for 20 years...
insofar as the "Blue Turf" goes.....biggest home field advantage in football.....
Really?

so my believing my team can make a game of it is the stuff of pipe dreams.......gotcha......
going undefeated is obviously very easy seeing as how there are so many teams that are currently undefeated.....
A little hint to the midmajor fans -- when you have to hang your hat on two individual games, it's probably a great time to shut your fucking mouth and win a few games before you start gumming up your keyboard talking about how great you are.
hanging my hat on a loss and a close game to an inferior opponent? I'm enthusiastic about BSU getting to play against a program like Oklahoma in a game that will be watched by a lot of people...I know this BCS shit is old hat to you bud, but me I'm relishing the moment.....I can't ever remember saying that BSU is a great team...you want to link me up to that.....
That would probably result in a great deal more pride in the offseason for BSU, but I'd much rather watch the absolute pummelling that's going to go down.
me, I've said all along that I think OU will PROBABLY win....but that BSU will make a game of it.......
I hate to say this , but you and a lot of other people are going to look like fucking idiots if BSU wins......but then again if that happens, it will be because OU played like shit and BSU just happened to be the receipient of their largesse....
perspective indeed.....
