Hey homos my golf program is having a golf tournament on June 25th. It's for a good cause. My program and the betterment of Golf at our high school. It's at the TPC in Valencia. Beautiful course. I'm expecting both of you to play. One $C fan paired with one Bruin fan would be an absolute blast to see. So let me know when you're going to mail the checks. I'd invite Greg but since he's probably going to be married by then I'm sure she won't let him fly to So. Cal for something as trivial as this.

I didnt graduate from there, mom is still pissed, I graduated from El Toro in 1990. A year of that stuff was enough, my cousin started the same year as me, he only lasted 7 weeks

Lax,

I can see a potential Del Rey League matchup between St. John Bosco, Crespi, and Notre Dame. Is Alemany or Loyola in the house? Just make sure Van doesn't get to drive the cart.

OK, who went to Bosco and who went to ND and what years?
No way he's driving the cart if that's what he's going to do. Van...I don't want to have to explain to the folks at the club why the fuck their golf cart is been renamed the Mach 5 and you think you're speed racer.

Hey! You guys know who won the city section football championship....again this year????

Posted: Sun Dec 10, 2006 7:05 pm
by Laxplayer
That's right, the Birmingham Braves....I mean Patriots.
Canyon may get the nod for the CIF state championship game vs. De LaSalle and where did Canyon'd coach get his coaching start?
that's right...Crespi.

Posted: Sun Dec 10, 2006 7:31 pm
by Van
...and being from Crespi, of course he had to move on before he could achieve any real success as a football coach...

:-)

(Actually, Crespi used to kick our ass in football when I was there. Apparently things changed quite a bit though in subsequent years, with ND becoming some sort of a major powerhouse...)

SJB class of '82.

So, Van, you'll be wearing a mask as you drive the cart?

Nacho Libre, mucho?

BTW, Trixie was hot.

Van, it was no contest back then. Then Redell left Crespi and Tim Lins took over, then once Tim left the program was a wreck. ND then started to even up the series. Rooney is a hell of a coach and has put together one of the best programs in So. Cal. Crespi was down but now that they're in the same league again this rivalry is back where it should be.

This SoCal stroke fest has grown stale.

420, how about you regale us with some stories of your high school football playing days?

Posted: Mon Dec 11, 2006 4:56 am
by Laxplayer
Well I don't recall many $C running backs in between Charles White and Reggie Bush that did much in the NFL.
Russell did torch you guys for 220+ one year. So for a back who gained 1,000 yds in 3 seasons he did pretty well against you.
BTW, he didn't go to $C because he didn't want to be compared to his uncle.

I heard it was because he was a prop 48

Terra Linda High School... class of '82 here.

In 1981, we were the 2nd ranked team in the State of California.(Cal-Hi Sports)

...P.S. We were the team that beat Cardinal Newman who at the time held the record for the most wins in a row in the State of California... at 47 in a row. Long before De La Salle went on their run. Both schools are Northern California schools of course.(Joe Montana's kid plays qb at Cardinal Newman now)...

I ran for 99 yards on 17 carries and we beat El Molino high in the North Coast Sectional. El Molino High was the top ranked defense in the State of California. If I recall correctly, we beat them 7-0, and I was compared to "Paul Hofer" of the San Francisco 49'ers in the San Francisco Examiner the next day in the papers.(It may have to do with us both wearing #36 that year.)

Yeah, I was a bad ass, back in the day.
