Why is Shockey not berated?

he is overhyped piece of shit.
he catches a couple of balls, but during the game he:
commits 15 yard personal fouls, usually on 3rd down, nullifying a 1st down
drops many easy catches
bad fumbles
gets in defensive players face, only to drop a key 3rd down pass.
commits horrible holding and offensive pass int calls.
calls out teammates and coaches
hasn't done a fucking thing, yet is regarded???
at times, this cockgobbler is worse than TO, when it comes to killing his teams chances to win a game

Shockey is a douchebag who's best punishment is having ShEli as his QB.
Give me Witten any day of the week. One, he's a better TE. And two, he's not a cockgobblin like Shockey.

I've hated him ever since Miami... then he went to the Giants and it got worse. He is extremly overrated.. the occasiaonl play he makes is not worth the aggrevation of his mouth or antics that cost them yards.

No, he isn't. Shockey has more receptions, more touchdowns and more 1st down conversions....but other than that Witten is a "better tight end".
Whitten is a better blocking TE who drops less passes but doesn't have the ability to get open like Shockey does and as a result is nothing but a 4th option in that offense.

Well, I've been forced to watch the Cowboys (regional coverage and all that bs) and he's not bad. Barber isn't getting all those TDS from 3 WR sets..

Witten is a much more reliable TE.
More yards per game. More yards per catch. More plays +20 yards. More +40.
Sure, Shockey has a few more TD's, and his 10 more receptions have netted him a whopping 16 yards less than Witten.
I think stats in this instance simply point out different roles on their respective teams, as well as the fact that Dallas punches the ball in on the ground more often (second in the NFL only to SD). They still, however, have 9 more passing TD's than the Gints.
I'll still take Witten any day over Shockey.

No, it doesn't.
It makes him the Giants #2 option in the passing game, so his stats are slightly better than Witten's. Terry Glen,. The Cowboys #2 option in the passing game has very similar stats to Shockey. Just more yards and 1 less TD, and one less reception.
But think what you will.
Shockey is still a douche.
