Philly retardation & other douchebaggery

You're trolling, right?

You're sniffing glue to get you through the tough Christmas season when it become blatantly obvious that not another soul on this planet cares whether you live or die? Mommy didn't return your call for an invite to eat Meow mix and unflavored gelatin on Christmas day, right?

Or is it that you think Santa Claus is going to forget the fact that you fucking douchebags pelted him with snowballs, and bring you a X-mas day victory?

Regardless, you fuckers are going down in a blaze of glory.

Cowboys roll you punk ass bitches, claim the NFC East crown, and celebrate on the Star for Christmas.

Rehashing 1968? Fresh. I'll email my dad and tell him you're cracking on him. Seriously you couldn't use something more recent? But I guess when you can't pinpoint one reason why the Cowboys are suddenly going to smash the Iggles so you took the easy road and went after the fans.

In a different thread you said TO hasn't been a distraction.. have you watched your coach at his press conferences lately? He doesn't call TO by name, he calls him "that player". He also cuts short those conference because he is tired of talking about him.
He should be talking about the decent job Tony Homo is doing and instead he has to field questions about something else when the story should be about the Cowboys winning is instead about TO spitting. And now, by sheer coincidence, the Cowboys have to play the Iggles and the story line is going to be about TO and Garcia, TO and the Eagles and TO and the spitting incident.

Yeah, he's not a distraction. Tard.

In for all sigs and avs..

Romo has been average against any of the decent pass defenses he has faced this year (Indy, NO) and is now going to be facing a defense that has the 12th ranked pass D and has ways of getting pressure he has not even seen yet. I agree with Jim- keep the pressure on him and he'll buckle like a belt. Also- the Boys secondary did such a horrible job aginst the 32 ranked passing offense in the league... Garcia will have a decent day, going for at least 2 TD's.. and the more balanced play calling will allow for at least 1 more on the ground. Throw in a defenseive TD for good measure and I predict-

Philly- 31
Dallas- 17

I'm also in for all sig/av bets

You'll not paint me into a corner of defending that shitbag. I've been very critical of him for quite some time. I just don't think he's fucked up the Cowboys as a team. If you were following along and read a few posts down, you'd have seen this.

You may want to get an adult to read this for you. It contains naughty words...

Headhunter wrote:And I could really give a shit about TO or his Brinks truck full of money. I care about how the rest of the Cowboys deal with this. Fuck TO. I'd rather have Keyshawn back.
But let you and the media rile each other up about TO. There's a few more dudes coming to town than TO.

I"ll give you this, TO did get you guys a win when the Boys came to Philly. The Iggles and their fans were jacked up in a playoff like atmosphere and handed out a solid ass kicking.

But that was a much different team.

I am a little worried about the defense giving up so many points the last few weeks, but I see them having a come back game, hence my 27-10 prediction.

Ok, I'm convinced now. He was a drunkard, so Philly fan is really a bunch of humanitarians who were doing nothing more than exposing a sack of crap posing as Santa. Glad we cleared that up.

Here I was thinking you guys were douchebags for pelting a symbol of Christmas, when really you were defending St. Nicks honor from a drunken poser.

My bad, here you go...

Now, can we get back to the game? The whole Santa Claus thing was just part of an initail pre-game salvo to get the thread kicked off because the game is on Christmas. But if you guys want to hash that over instead of the game, I completely understand!

Is it really worth hashing out the game with a stupid fuck who thinks that Indy actually has a "decent pass defense". Newsflash, dipshit... the reason Indy doesn't give up that many yards passing is because teams are running all over them. They could possibly be the worst team against the run since the advent of the forward pass. Way to just regurgitate some useless numbers without actually analyzing what they mean.

OK, on paper, Dallas has a better D, Better scoring O, Better QB, and it's a home game for the Cowboys.

Where is it you see some way they win this game?

The Cowboys defense is going to shut down Garcia. Westbrook will get his, but that's about it.

I really don't see this as that close of a game.

Expect to see more of Barber than Jones in the second half. Parcells has been getting Barber more carries, but he still likes to have him fresh in the second half when the opposing Defense is wearing down. That has been a hell of a strategy so far. Expect that to work again. I've been very impressed with Barber this year. He's not a slick RB like jones. He fights for every yard and never gives up. I like that in a RB. He's a tenacious runner who runs downhill.

I like the balance the Cowboys have shown on offense, and I think it will click again as the Cowboys take care of Philly.

You have a mediocre secondary that is predicated on getting pressure on the QB. Philly's O line is one of the top 10 in the game and has been doing a great job of protecting Garcia. He will continue to do what he has been in efectively manging the offense. Westbrook (as you stated) will get his.

Our D has stepped up, and provided they play like they did against the Gnats- it will be a liong day for Romo. They will be in his face all day, forcing him into mistakes.. leading to at least 2 turnovers. The Birds D AGAIN contained Tiki for most of the game, and it is exactly what they will do to Jones/Baraber. They'll get some yards- but not in the red zone...

Hmmm Palmer- 14/28 176 yards, 0 TDs, 3 forced fumbles....

Yes- their numbers are slightly inflated based on their injuries resulting in being unable to stop the run. But it also lends to their sack numbers being down, and forced turnovers being down because of it. They have a young, quick secondary that gets to the ball and makes plays when the ball is in the air.

Mediocre secondary?

Not quite, but I see you working. What we have is a Safety who fucks up coverage way more than I'd like to see. Roy Williams has improved his coverage a bit over previous years, but he has a long way to go. Watch replay on many TD's against the Cowboys, and you'll see old Roy fucking something up.

If Pat Watkins can turn into a good cover safety and Roy can play up at the line, The Boys will be much better off.

:meds:

and 20 of those passes came in the 2nd half when Cinci played from behind, was forced to pass, and got fucked. It's much tougher to pass when you have to pass and you're facing everthing in your opponent's defensive playbook. Most big passing plays come because the defense is expecting run. Also, Freeney actually had his 1st dominant game ALL YEAR. Your secondary looks much better when the QB is running for his life.

Cinci fucked themselves because they made it a point to run the ball, when in fact, they're not a great running team. Cinci is known for its great receivers and great QB, not so much from the running game. Don't confuse Rudi Johnson and his 3.8 yards/carry with a great back. He gets his yards, sure. But I'd describe him a serviceable, not great. Cinci made themselves one dimensional, playing against their opponent's weakness as opposed to playing to their strength.

"Hmmmm... 14/28 176 yards" You probably didn't even watch the game. Even if you did, you're too fucking stupid to process what was actually happening right before your eyes. Can you even name one player on Indy's secondary without looking it up? They suck. Do you realize Indy's "amazing secondary" allows teams to complete 65% of the passes thrown against them? SIXTY FIVE PERCENT! That is 31st in the league! It's just that no one throws on them... that why their yards/game against is so low.

Thanks for hammering home my point about regurgitating numbers, BBTardley...

Wazzup biatches. I know its hard to believe but I am going to put my emotions aside and give a football take (Marley and jimmy can suck fat cock).

Philly has the 28th ranked rushing defense. This will be their achillies heel for the game. Heavy doses of Barber and Jones are going to set up the few play action passes Romo throws. I don't see the Boys having a problem moving the ball up and down the field against the philly defense.

However, I don't see philly having too much of a problem moving the ball against Dallas. The pass defense is horrible and their QB pressure is a fart in the wind. I think the Boys will make the one or two "big plays" on defense which will end up deciding the game.

Big Daddy, if you read this just know I am going reverse, reverse, reverse on your punk ass. Cowboys slap Philly in the mouth, take their presents and shove it up Reids ass.

After the game philly fat ass holds up the sign "Free Philly" with a picture of tubby Reid underneath.

Philly 28

When Westbrook lines up in the slot he will be covered by Aaron Glen for the most part, but their will be times when Ware lines up on his ass and so will Carpenter. Trust me jimmy, all you can do is talk about Westbrook. If you think he's such a badass, don't you think the Boys know? We will do what it takes to contain him. We just have to hope Reggie Brown and Donte Stallworth don't go deep on us.

That's just it.. if the Eagles have to rely on the long ball to beat Dallas, they are in trouble. Garcia's range is probably 40-45 yards tops. But he has been very accurate on the short routes (even more so than McNabb) and though he may not run like he use to, he can still throw out of the pocket.

Should be a great game with plenty of interesting matchups.

I hope you cockroaches lose.

Though I'm not a fan of either team, this should be a holiday game that actually lives up to expectations ('sup meaningless New Year's Day CF bowl games?) -- hated rivals, with the division and playoffs and/or home-field on the line -- RACK it.

Also, Rack HH for the usage of "douchebaggery" in the title of this thread.

Rack. I wonder....what Eagle player can save Christmas and make a big impact and lead Philadelphia to a win? Even though I hate Jake Delhomme, he will always have a special place in my heart for stepping in as a lowly Saints 3rd stringer and beating Dallas on Christmas Eve one year. I remember calling the local sports info station from the church phone right after the Christmas Eve service and asking the score and hugging everyone and wishing them Merry Christmas. Can one of those bastard Eagles save Christmas this year?

And now for the obligatory post game Owens quotes.....
RVING, Texas -- Terrell Owens is 0-for-2 against the Philadelphia Eagles. That's the least of his problems.

While he wore a Cowboys-branded Santa hat on his head, Owens certainly wasn't joyful Christmas night. His frustration was evident after a 23-7 loss, when he scored the only Dallas touchdown, then complained several times that not enough passes are coming his way.

"I just feel like I'm not involved early in the game," Owens said. "Everybody knows that's what I do. Every team that I've played on, I've been involved early and often. It's hard to get in the flow when you're getting a ball here, a ball there."

Owens had only three balls come his direction before halftime, all on the drive that ended with his 14-yard TD pass with 36 seconds left to get Dallas within 10-7. He also caught a 9-yard pass and another attempt resulted in an illegal contact penalty against the Eagles.

Those were Owens' only catches in the game.

After the Eagles stretched their lead to 16-7 in the third quarter, Owens let an almost perfectly thrown deep ball by Tony Romo go right through his hands along the sideline. He said there should have been a penalty on Brian Dawkins, who was defending him.

"He bumped me way down the field and I started to regroup. By the time I looked up and located the ball, it was right on me," Owens said.

"All receivers are going to drop the ball," Romo said, downplaying it.

Romo, the Pro Bowl quarterback whose 142 yards were his fewest in his nine starts, threw toward a double-covered Owens early in the fourth quarter. Dawkins was there again, making a nifty over-the-shoulder grab for an interception.

"Late in the game, they start throwing to me," Owens said. "By that time, it's too late. I'm giving full effort. I want to be involved."

Owens didn't have a catch in the first half in his much-hyped October return to Philadelphia, when he finished with only three grabs for 45 yards and the Eagles won 38-24.

This time, Owens hardly had an impact and the Eagles took control of the NFC East race. Dallas could have clinched its first division title since 1998, but now must beat Detroit and have Philadelphia lose to Atlanta in the regular-season finale. The Eagles and Cowboys are both 9-6 and guaranteed playoff spots.

"It's not necessarily embarrassing that we lost to them," T.O. said. "I was embarrassed by the way we played offensively."

Owens insisted it wasn't a personal grudge match for him against the Eagles, the team that he helped lead to the Super Bowl in 2004 before being suspended midway through last year. That included his bitter and public feud with quarterback Donovan McNabb.

T.O. certainly doesn't have a problem with all the Eagles. He spent part of Christmas Eve visiting with some of his former Philadelphia teammates at their hotel.

"What about it?" Owens said. "That shouldn't have any bearing on the game. That's my time and you know those guys are my friends. I'm not going to shy away from my friends for anybody."

As for what he might say to his current quarterback about getting the ball more, Owens indicated that the problem wasn't Romo, but rather the plays being called.

"I don't think it's necessarily anything Tony and I need to talk about. He knows that I'm going to try my hardest to make some plays for him," he said. "When the plays aren't really designed for me to get involved in the offense, he's going to go with the plays that are called."

Owens even got in on defense for a play, as a deep safety about 30 seconds after his touchdown at the end of the first half. But Jeff Garcia, 4-1 since replacing the injured McNabb, instead dumped the ball for a shorter gain and left 1 second on the clock for a half-ending field goal.

I dunno , I just don't see the benefit of keeping Owens around for another year, especially since he hasn't been 100% for 2 seasons, missed half a season due to being a complete bitch, and really not as good as most of the leading receivers in the league.

I think it was a game or 2 ago where Marvin Harrison didn't get a pass thrown to him in the first half, yet he still made plays in the second, and he never complained about not getting the ball the first half. Owens has balls thrown to him, but I think he is the leader in drops. Glenn doesn't drop the ball as frequent as Owens does. That may be a reason he gets looked at a lot more than Owens does. Owens gets the benefit of a lot of TDs in the red zone, with a lot of them short TD passes. Owens is just deflecting his poor performance yet again. Of course, he has a hand injury, but I've seen him drop many a ball, or alligator arm a pass thrown to him, and, just plain give up on a route. Owens saying he needs to get involved early is a fukken excuse, period. No WR should blame the coaches for he being soft later in the game.

Owens isn't the main reason the Boys lost, of course. The Iggles defense got inside Romo's dome, and rattled his ass.

Hell, the Cowboys are not just one WR away from a Championship from what I saw today. They woould be better off shitcanning the bitch, and getting another WR, either in the draft, or FA.

Owens is a pussy. Plain and simple. He had some awful drops including one where he had a step on dawkins and claims his hands were cold because the Cowgirls didn't get him involved early enough.

TO, here is a pair of

you pussy. He has become arguably the most over-rated WR in football.

RACK the Eagles and the way they've turned their season around. Nevermind the way Garcia has been playing... their defense has really stepped it up lately. Teams were running all over them earlier in the year. They are looking primed for a nice playoff run in the wide open NFC.

Hats off to jiminphilly and other Eagle fans. Season sweep and a total asskicking on Christmas. Nice job.

I thought the game turned on that goal line stand by Philly. Dallas is in real trouble now for the playoffs, having to go on the road as a wild card. Never know what team is going to show up, hopefully, the team with heart, not the flat, Carrie Underwood loving team on Christmas.

What the hater nation had to say about it:

Anybody else sick of Carrie Underwood? Holy hell, was there this much fuss about who Jeff Garcia was dating?

Alright, bad example. But you get the point.

There were enough storylines going on during the Eagles dismantling of the Cowboys that you didn’t need to focus on Underwood. Philadelphia was on the verge of winning its third consecutive road NFC East game, putting them in the driver's seat for the division. Bill Parcells is the most overrated coach in NFL history. He’s still living off the glory of those famed Giants teams. Pacells has regressed in each coaching stop, going from Super Bowl champ, to Super Bowl participant, to AFC Championship Game participant, to not winning a playoff game. Nice legacy. Luckily they have screwed up the Pro Football Hall of Fame so much, that he can’t tarnish his legacy.

The most refreshing storyline was Jeff Garcia proving to Terrell Owens who the real man is. It may have taken Garcia a few years, but he has finally gotten over on Owens. And wasn't it always ironic that Garcia dates a Playboy Playmate, while T.O. spends too much time in the gym, wears flamboyant suits and likes to strut around in full body tights?

And people thought Garcia was gay.

The only thing left to say about Owens is that if looks like a malcontent and acts like a malcontent, it’s a malcontent.

And for the record, the notion that Donovan McNabb is one of the most valuable players in the NFL is a fallacy. But, as stated in this space a week ago, Garcia could win the Super Bowl this year (and really, why not?), and McNabb will still be the starter next year.

Well, it depends on what rating you're talking about. If its the rating saying he's a damn good coach who has led 4 diff teams to the playoffs, won two Super Bowls, appeared in a third, led the Giants, Jets, and Cowboys back from years of losing, then I'd have to agree he's a damn good coach. You?

FUCK. Well that was about as half hearted an effort as I can remember seeing. Props to Philly on the sweep.

Just throw this in your sig. Knowing how humiliated the iggles left the cowboys and their fans on Christmas was almost good enough for me.

The image is too large. I can resize it if need be. Can't be more than 100 pixels in height. It's currently 256.
