finally illinois and MU will resume in football next year at the Dome, till then, we have an overachieving tiger team vs a young illini team.
if tigers play smart ball, and force some turnovers, they could win the game. illini get some guard play, beat the press, hit their shots and free throws, it will be another of many beatings from the illini at the Trade(formerly known as savvis).
i actually forgot to apply for tickets to the game when they went up for lottery, oh well, a living room couch and beer and wings make for a better place, when Mizzou takes their beatings.
curious to see how well hannah plays.
Mizzou 76
Illini 70

Can't be any worse than last years 82-50 thrashing and a bucket of popcorn dumped on Quin's head.
There have been some great games played in this series. I think I've watched every one of them the past 20 years or so.
Illini have won the last 6, so here's hoping that streak ends.

.
only time that opposing team and fans were outraged for losing teams coach after the popcorn bandit hit.
or when drunk MU fan tackled chief illiniwek. i heard Pinkel offered a schooly after the game
MU fans actually sorta loved it, in a sick sorta way. it was a payback for his sins at MU

This isn't basketball Mizzou is playing. It's a freaking trackmeet with some playground hoops thrown in. Race down court as fast as possible, heave up immediate shot without trying to run any offense or even make one pass. I can not relate.
Hell, they may even win this game somehow, but I doubt it.
If Norm had a grave, he'd be rolling over in it.

wild finish. Illini player makes a nice play on the second missed FT with about ~1:15 left to punch the rebound out to the perimeter.

That turnover Hannah made at the end without even getting a shot off was horrific.
Anyhow, good game to watch from my couch. I enjoyed it.

Ok, so I smack the shit out of you here...

And then you run to another thread in another forum where I say nothing about YOUR team other than the last play of the game was horrific yet I was still entertained as it was a good game?
You and Polly...two peas in a pod. Fuck you are pathetic.

Point me to a "shot" I took at Mizzou in ths thread, forkliftboy.
What I find funny is I bitch you elsewhere, yet you call me for ankle biting, and I do not even address Mizzou here in a negative way, yet you come in on MY heels...
Once again, you and Polly...made in heaven...

I thought it was a good game and for the first time in several years I actually think the Missouri program is heading in the right direction. I thought the team played hard. They are still a bit deficient from a talent perspective but I think Anderson could turn that around rather quickly. When he does Mizzou will be a challenging foe in the Big 12. If I was a Mizzou fan I would be encouraged right now.

he was a great choice, and was my faorite from the start of search.
he is a class indiviual, and will bring class back to a program in need of it.
once anderson gets his kids in, 40 minutes of hell. right now, its 30 minutes of heck.

So you're saying to be patient? Ok, guess I can live with that.
right now, its 30 minutes of heck.
No, right now it's 40 minutes of not blocking out on the D-boards allowing easy putbacks, running around like wildebeasts, and general chaos all around.
I'm not sold on this style of B-ball. I dread heading into Norman, Stillwater, Lawrence, and every other Big XII venue. We're gonna' get kilt with this undisciplined play.
It's going to be a godawful fugly season, mang.

gawd, i hope so. This shit going on in Texas tonite is the most humiliating Tiger ball I've ever had to witness.
I hates this shit.
Can we like, abscond the rest of the Big XII regular season and play UMKC instead?
Please?

how many times do i have io say this, it is not an easy fix for this tiger team. they overachieved bigtime early.
anderson does not have his players in the system yet.
you have some shitty players having to play 20+ minutes a game(yes you jason horton)because quin l;eft this team with nothing. lawrence is playing over his head, he is coming back to reality, hannah cant do it all. and sometimes he tries and creates more to's than points.
he gets a bye for this year and next, then we can judge his coaching.
he has to cleanse the roster, the roster must take a huge dump and get rid of the waste.
