RIP XTC

Post by PSUFAN »

They were probably my favorite band ever...even though they have slowed down dramatically in the recent past.
Andy Partridge wrote:“I speak of XTC in the past tense. It's in the freezer and I dunno if it'll ever come out again. Colin [Moulding] phoned me recently and said he wasn't interested in music any more, and it wouldn't be XTC without him. . .”

I guess they'll no longer need 1,2,3,4,5...publicists working overtime to try and convince people they were anything more than a footnote.

I think I gave up waiting for a new XTC album long ago. But as a faithful fan I'll continue to fund Partridge's retirement and buy all the demos and other crap he puts out.
