Florida's myriad of stars ran OSU literally off the court as OSU players were seen(at the end) exhausted by the thoroughbred Gator squad.

Thought it would be a lot closer. Brewer is back and while Noah is the emotional leader there is no doubt the team goes as Brewer goes.

The braodcast team was awful and pro-OSU. Who is Billy DUNavan? Never heard of him.

I don't expect FL to repeat but its good to know they'll go down swinging.

On a side note: How classy was Billy D to offer to move the game back to Jan or Feb to make sure Oden was able to play?

Great win for the Gates...

I thought when tOSU went on the 9-0 run at the beginning of the second half it might be a game...FLA was awesome in the second half...I think they had to have shot close to or over 60% while OSU was stone cold...credit the Gators for showing up and getting it done...Great win...

I hope tOSU uses this as a lesson...they are still young, getting used to Oden in the lineup and Oden did show flashes on the defensive side of the ball...if the OSU shooting could have been better. Oh well...tOSU played a pretty deece 3 game run with Cincy, Iowa State, and FLA they went 2-2 so far in the 4 marquee games with the 2 losses coming to FLA and UNC...I'll take it...they have Tennessee left in January...plus the Big 10...

I'll gladly give up a December basketball game for 1) a NC in Football come Jan 8th and 2) A better prepared squad in the tourney...

Although I must say I am not a fan of Noah...first because of his fucking political idiocy...Donavan had to talk him into going to the White House...fucking pussy...figures a french ass wouldn't have a sack to at least honor the office and his chest bump and fucking antics...win with class lose with class...ok rant over...read that is not sour grapes I just don't like the kid...

anyway political rant over and FLA was much better yesterday and props...

I gave props to Florida in the Packer thread already but once again, nice game out of the Gators on Saturday. The game looked like it would be a tight one but they put on two big runs in the game...went on the 12-0 run to take the lead in the first half and carry it into the lockerroom and after the Bucks got the game to 40-40, the Gators outscored them 46-20 in the final 17 minutes to make a decisive statement to the nation. The Gators killed them on the glass and they got nice contributions out of guys like Humphrey and Green, who were deadly from the perimeter. To me though, nobody has a better trio of freshman than the Bucks have with Oden, Cook and Conley. I'd like to see them go through a conference schedule and how they develop over that time. If these two meet up again in March or April on a neutral floor...I don't think the Gators beat them by 26. The only other team that looks scarier than Florida right now is UCLA...kind of rare that you see the two finalists from the previous year come back the next year and look like the two best teams in the nation out of the chute.

Unfortunately, you can't see to WHOM Noah is doing that....NOT the tOSU players, NOT the tOSU bench, NOT to the cameras.... BUT TO THE FREAKING STUDENT SECTION TO PUMP THEM UP......sorry to disappoint but he's been doing that since he got here. It's to get the crowd in the game.....a la a football player waving their arms to the crowd to make more noise...

Speaking of NOT classy......how about the note Matta left on Meyer's seat BEFORE he got there...."We are going to kick your ass on the 8th"

Would love to hear your take on that one buck.

yep the bump into Oden was pure class by Noah...Like I said I just don't like the kid...you can tell me all you want about pumping up the student section but I don't believe it ala you don't believe ODEN has said he wants to stay more than 1 year...again I just don't like the kid just like I don't like Mike Hart and Chris Leak...I respect their games but don't like them...last time I checked that was ok to dislike a player...

look props to the gators...I didn't hear the announcers so I have not read or saw if Matta left that note...I look at Matta and Donovan as pretty good guys and I am sure it wasn't meant as a slight but I could be wrong...if it was meant as a joke so be it...other than that I don't have much to say as I don't know what context he left it in...sorry...but again everything FLA does is "pure" class I am sure...

to me the classiest move in B-Ball this year was Roy telling the UNC crowd to knock off the overrated chants...that was class...

anyway again give all props to the Gators they were the BETTER team yesterday...so we shall see if they meet again...when will the NBA come calling for Billy...now remember you refuse to believe that Oden is staying so remember I refuse to believe that billy will be at FLA forever...

Billy D to the NBA? Pitino(Billy is a wannabe remember) has already told him not to even think about it. Pitino hated the experience and Billy D is a God in G-Ville. He ain't going. The run and press(the style he learned from Rick P) does NOT work in the NBA. Unless Billy plans on learning new offensive and defensive strategies....he ain't going.

You don't like Noah. So what? He's all energy and does the little things that make the team go.

It's funny to hear people write off teh Gators. UF played FSU without Brewer and Noah was sick as a dog. Brewer was sick in the KU game as well.

Oh well. I like flying under the radar.

Also, I wasn't talking about you just pundits and so-called experts......FL didn't have the drive this year. Injuries were an issue in the beginning. Not now.

Wow finally got to breakdown and read some of the post game articles and stats...FLA was shooting 74% or thereabouts in the 2nd half...WOW...nuff said...plus that engergizes the crowd, players, etc...

hopefully tOSU learns from this and becomes better...while they played 3 tough games in a row (no excuse) they have to use this as motivation and get better from this point on...

I look forward to a re-match (Hopefully for all the marbles)...

anyway again gator fans congrats, great game and continued good luck...

Anyone who thought that a group of freshmen, no matter how talented, could go on the road in December and beat a very talented and experienced team doesn't follow college basketball too closely. Granted I thought it would be closer than 26 points but there was never any doubt the Gators were going to win this game.

Fast forward to late March on a neutral court and who knows. Of course that game may never take place but as a fan of college hoops I for one am hoping it does.

As for Oden Trix, I'd put the odds of him being a college sophmore at about 50/50 which is amazing considering how talented he is and how much money awaits him. He's a different kind of kid though. I could see him pulling a Leinart/Manning/Duncan and sticking around. IMO it will depend on what tO$U does in the tourney.

i won't say you've come across as ignorant here, but noah's american, born in nyc. his dad's half-french, half-camaroonian and his mother swedish. that makes him only 1/4 french, if he was "french."

and regardless of yr political motives, i think the pussy move re: the white house is to compromise yr beliefs by hiding them rather than face public ridicule for them. personally speaking, i'd be willing to honor the office, if only it wasn't occupied by such a raging douche.

I was pretty shocked that UF ended up winning by that much. I still think tOSU needs to get the ball to Oden more. I know they are still getting used to playing w/ him, but he needs to touch the ball almost every posession. tOSU was throwing up way too many three's when they should have been getting it down inside.

That being said, Oden is going to be force come March/April. He out played Noah and showed some class by not slugging Noah when Noah chest bumped him.

i did read yr other posts, but yr the one who said yr not a fan "first because of his fucking political idiocy" right before playing word association between "french" and "groveling arse kisser," as if the us and france actually differ on much of their industrial agendas. funny, though, that we continue to lampoon the french for their cowardness: the decision to oppose the us on iraq was so obviously self-serving (true) and ill-advised (apparently not).

i'm left to assume that you meant clinton, and the gist of the emotive arguments for his impeachment was that he sullied the office of the potus, that the president is a moral leader as well as a political one (how can we trust a man with our national security if his own wife can't trust him with another woman). the quip about moral guidance was thrown in b/c i found that argument retarded, especially b/c i don't think ppl actually look to the president for moral guidance.
