There is a core group of us from Smackboard that have been playing for the last 4 years:
Cueball
Atomicdad
Orcinus
Mariner Fan
Kc Scott
We have rotated some other owners over the years, but the core group has stayed in tact.
We play a buy in league. Last year was $50 = $25 for your franchise and $25 to pre pay for 5 trades (Trades are $5 per for the first 5, then free after that). We refund any unused trade $. Last year we played Roto, rather than fantasy, for the first time.
We cap at 10 teams and used The Sporting News to manage the league.
Orc set up a live draft last year
More details to come......

What is the thought about the site. I didn't like that sportsline was slow and had alot of pop-ups and shit, but for the most part I liked most of the features there, being able to set a lineup more than a day in advance, close to real time scoring for those slow days at work, and that your roster was not locked down after the first game of the day. In years past i've been screwed on more than a few days at Yahoo and Sandbox when there would be an early east coast game and my entire roster was locked up at 10 am pct. I wouldn't mind using sportsline again this year.
I just noticed, I'm a crack whore now.

Sportsline wasn't bad. Free Yahoo is always nice so that the $$$ can all go to Scott. I'm pretty good with whatever.

We didn't use Sportsline last year, it was The Sporting News. I do use Sportsline as my primary league, the cost is 129.99 until March 2. Sporting News has a promo now for 99.99.

3 more? So we're only playing with 10 this year? I'm voting for head to head competition this year. The head to head is one reason the JFFL is kickass.
My bro (the White Sox fan) is in as a last resort again if we need him. Don't expect much input on the board. He'll compete though if that's all we're looking for.

I've sent PM's, stickied it and talked to friends not on the board as possible last minutes. Fact of the matter is, the merger came at a bad time for this to come together. Butch and 6's bro are 2 that played last year and seem only willing to play if needed. With only one coming in from the merger, makes things look like a NHL lockout.

Yea, my recruiting time is way down.
This work thingy sucks.
This kitchen remodel thingy sucks even worse.
And for some reason my Wife and kids actually expect attention when I've been out of town all week.
The nerve.
Anyway, if the JABBL goes out with a whimper, so be it.
Too bad, since it was the only thing that actually kept me interested in baseball enough to follow it.

No hockey, Lakers suck, I need something. Never would have thought I'd be watching so much NASCAR.
