alternatives to itunes for ripping to AAC

just got an ipod for christmas, itunes sucks. way too fucking slow to rip to AAC. any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't use ACC for anything. I just plug the ipod in and send all recently downloaded files to iTunes. It should send all songs to your pod automatically. Of course, I send higher bitrate tunes in which takes up more space, but I'm picky when it comes to sound on the car radio.

Make sure in your iTunes that you have selected to automatically update your iPod upon Connection.

Yeah, you can get any program that converts to AAC or MP3 so if you don't like Itunes, just get one of the MP3 rippers or just buy/download songs in MP3 format. Then just use the add directory feature to add the music to Itunes and then it should auto update the ipod the next time you connect.
