Seems pretty decent.. can play movies, music etc.. I'll have to do some converting of files to play the movies but it's a nice option to have. Interface is easy though I haven't put anything on it yet.
Once I start putting shit on it I'll let you know how it operates.
Anyone else get a Zune

Loaded my entire music library onto the Zune.. was painless thought it took a while. (I was pulling the songs from a second PC I had set up via a network).
I have it playing at my desk now and it sounds fine (I don't have a docking station yet but will soon - altec lansing makes a docking station for the Zune that I may look into).
I haven't gone through the process of converting dvd movies to mp4 or .mov files yet. The memory (30G) is small compared to the IPOD so I'm going to run any movies I put on this through shrink and perhaps reauthor to get rid of as much extras to condense the size and then find a way to convert the ISO file so I can import it to the Zune.

I looked at the Zune but decided to stick with the Ipod. Its thicker and larger in size and the video screen is only slightly larger in overall size. Also the HD size would have been a step down from my 60 Gb Ipod.
The big reasons to change were the wireless sharring but after looking at it, MS Criples the songs so much, its just not really a great feature to have.
Some of the other reasons its hard to compete with the Ipod is the accessories. Its fairly cool that my Ipod can output video/pictures/audio to a TV/Projector. This makes it useful on some level as a business tool as well.
With that said, one of my co-workers got it for xmas and likes it.

I suspect we could have a thread just about mp3 players (perhaps there already is one?) Due to backordering and blizzards in Denver, I just got my Christmas present from my wife; a 4 GB iRiver Clix. It's a flash based player, so 4GB is the max capacity, but I'm cool with that. I don't really have the need to put every CD I've ever owned on an mp3 player anyway. Overall, though, it's a sweet little player. Very crisp display that shows album art while you're listening to songs. Also can view photos, play video and there are flash games you can download for it, which is kind of cool. And, it has an FM receiver, something Apple has yet to include. I still actually do listen to the radio occasionally.
