Road Trip to Cleveland

Post by A.C. Crut »

I was in Ohio for the holidays and went to the Bucs/Browns game on 12/24. Very cool stadium right on Lake Erie, with the science museum and rock and roll hall of fame right next door. According to some locals we had outstanding weather for the game (for Ohio in December) low 40's, sunny and little wind.

We parked close to Jacobs Field where the Indians play for $5 hoofed it for 10-15 mins or so to the Browns stadium through the heart of downtown Cleveland. Let me add that Cleveland has an excellent collection of bums begging for handouts. The best was when the bums started berating each other. Will bum-on-bum violence never end?

Stopped at a cool bar & grill after the game called Panini's where every sammich is stuffed with fries, coleslaw, tomato & cheese. Mowed a turkey sammich with everthing, drank some beer and watched afternoon games. If you're in the area I'd definitely recommend this place. http://www.paninisgrill.com/index.html

Here's the pictures I took with the camera on my cell phone, not good quality but it's all I've got.

Starting to plan next season's roady, Bucs play at Carolina, Atlanta, New Orleans, San Francisco, Seattle, Houston and Indianapolis in 2007. I know some good peepls in Indy, that's the front runner right now but a trip to San Francisco wouldn't suck either.

Sounds like a cool time, Crut.

I'm sure you froze your tits off a bit, but yeah, low 40s and a little wind is good for late December in Cleveland.
You lucked out.

Q,

Panini's is awesome, glad we stumbled upon it.

I was very impressed with BrownsFan passion for their team. Two games left in the season only 4 wins and the place was packed, fans like that deserve a better team. One well-marinated fan gave me the 'dawg pound' bark while in line for beers and grub in the stadium, not sure how to reply I looked at the guy and said "hey, how ya doin?".

His reply was great, "yeah, that's how we DO it!"

"Okay broh, have a good game" - me

The Barker kept muttering "that's how we do it" while in line, saying it and looking at no one in particular just in his own world of alcohol and the realization that we are both fans of football teams that suck out loud.

Good to see that they have a garbage scow on hand to clean up after the bottle chucking, field invading Browns fans. I'm not sure a 30 yard dumpater would be able to handle the load.

Most of them were on the Browns' sideline...
