Ohio State with a tough opening Big 10 Stretch

Post by buckeye_in_sc »

Took down IU last night in a very physical game...got to see most of it and IU will be a pretty dangerous team come tourney time...they play very hard, physical, and they hustle...Shine may beg to differ but they will be good...

OSU then takes on Illinois and Wisconsin back to back before hosting Tennessee...if they can come out of that 2-1 that would be awesome...

thoughts?

Sampson's teams are always going to hustle and be physical.....but he's got no O when you go zone on him.

outside shooting the 3.

If you want to get the Buckeyes you better do it now, while the freshmen are still learning their way and Oden is still playing with his non-dominant hand. Because once Oden is at full strength and guys like Conley and Cook are battle tested I'm not sure there will be a better team in the country.

That said, the freshmen are still inexperienced and Oden is still not 100% so I think it's highly possible tO$U loses their next 2 games. After that I'm not sure they'll lose another one all year and that includes the post-season.

As for IU, it's a credit to Coach Sampson that he's done what he's done at IU in such a short amount of time. But he inherited a team that isn't up to IU standards in terms of talent so we'll have to scratch and claw our way to every W we get this year. Next year and beyond though, things are looking very bright. Matta and the Buckeyes better enjoy their Hoosier talent now, because those days are OVER.
"Our staff is going to ensure that anyone who attends this University and wears the Indiana uniform will make this privilege among their highest priorities and not treat the opportunity as an entitlement,'' Crean said in a statement. "We fully expect our student-athletes to accept the responsibilities academically, athletically and socially that come with representing one of the top programs in college basketball history."

They will hopefully lose one tonight to the Badgers. Wisconsin’s played pretty well so far (other than the SW Missouri Community College game), and they get the Buckeyes here in Madison.

BTW, I’ll be at the game, so look for me on TV. I’ll be the guy wearing red.

That'd be the Missouri State (formerly SWMSU) Bears from Springfield which play in that powerhouse MVC with the likes of Wichita State, Northern Iowa, Creighton, etc. No shame for a Big 10 school like Wisconsin to get punked by them.

Nice win for the Badgers...of course tOSU has to do something abot going scoreless for like 6 minutes...had some good looks shots didn't fall...made a run at the end...2nd road game in a row for a young Big 10 team...not a bad showing and nothing to be ashamed about...

get em now boys...
