Boss just walked in and said they detonated a bomb at a port in Miami. Saw a link on Drudge about them finding C4 in a package that was being loaded onto a cruise ship, but that's the latest. Anybody else?

Absolute bullshit.

Standard fear-mongering. Chuming the waters, as it were, in preparation for the Chimp's CATASTROPHIC new "plan for victory in Iraq."

I wonder what effect this might have on the Port of Catoosa.

Of course, an Arab male attempting to enter a restricted area without proper authorization and then immediately lying about having two other equally unauthorized Arabs in the back of his truck is "fear mongering".

:meds:

For the those in the reality based community, it is called a standard security precaution.
Terrifying, but not exactly "closed-for-business" terrifying.

"At no time was the port closed. All cargo and cruise operations continued uninterrupted,"

Such a national security emergency, but the cash register never shuts down. Uh-huh...

Did the media tell you that?
It was just wishful thinking.

Do you truly enjoy being a dumbfuck or does it just come naturally? I could barely get out of Heathrow and I'm blond and hold both American and English citizenship.

You're either a poor assed troll or a canadian arab.

It was a box of extremely dangerous sprinkler parts. One cannot be too careful, you know.

as a precautionary measure the folks at catoosa announced that all but 1 gate would be closed until further notice. Wait, my bad, they only have one gate.

I'm sure Channel 6 is just doinking themselves on the heads for doing that "local security" story a day early. But then again, they could always head back out and reinterview the Port of Catoosa manager and do an intro saying "From our follow up file ..."

I spent about 8 hours being detained at Heathrow. Everyone in that gate was searched head-to-toe, as were all of their bags, and no one could go to the restroom unaccompanied by security. I guess there was some dignitary on the same flight, and they caught wind of the IRA hatching some plot to blow the plane up. That was in 1978.

Heathrow ain't fucking around when it comes to security.

and I hold both American and English citizenship.

Sup, my Brother?

I spent about 8 seconds at Heathrow taking a pic of my buddy with Chrissie Hynde.

She was pissed to be approached while walking in the concourse, ....... but she obliged, scowl on face.

After her band died and she quit taking all the drugs, she really became a nasty piece of work.

Any time some overrated singing chick suddenly decides she's English, it seems to be indicative of character flaws(SUP MADONNA).

I guess she was pissed that we weren't buying into her assumption that she was the next Bob Dylan, merely based upon where and when she went to college.

LOVED the real Pretenders, back in The Day. Once Honeyman OD'ed, it was a tremendous downhill slide, almost unprecedented in its scope.
