I don't want to speak for anyone else, but he told me he PM'd SoCal as well. I kept it under my hat, at least until the topic came up (the PM in question is over a month old, but I've never brought it up until now), because even though Van said it'd be okay to post it, I figured he would have posted it himself had he really wanted the entire board to know.

And btw, I'm pretty sure I'd think long and hard before I ever referred to someone with about 1/3 the number of posts I have as a "loudmouth." Just sayin'. But that's just me.

Of course, I never found death smack to be terribly funny or creative in the first place. And it's been utilized so many times against certain posters (e.g. Toddowen and Annie) that it's lost whatever edginess it once had.

When it comes to posters here, however, it's a slightly different matter. I don't know anyone in the death pool. But even though I've never met anyone from these boards offline, in a funny way I feel like I know the people here. And it's one thing to predict that a person will die soon, quite another to say to their face that you hope it'll happen soon.
