I don't think the Colts will get a better opportunity to get over on Brady and Belichik than this Sunday but I just can't pick Manning in the postseason until he actually wins a big game. Any postseason game is big in context but it's a shot at going to the Super Bowl...these are the games the best of the best get up for and shine when the pressure is on them. Brady may have received a lot of good luck in the past in big games but the bottom line is that he's lost only once in the postseason and is looking to improve to 3-0 over Manning in the playoffs.

Against my better judgement I am going w/ the Colts. I think the Colts are the better team and they have the advantage of playing at home. I also want to see Manning and Dungy get a ring. A lot of Bucs fan root for the Colts b/c we still wish Dungy was in Tampa.

I have conflicting thoughts... on one hand, you have the Patriots obvious mastery over the Colts in the playoffs. On the other hand, the Colts have beaten the shit out of the Patriots the last two times they played. The last game wasn't as close as the final score indicated. Vinatieri missed a couple of field goals. Should have been 33-20.

Sanders return to the Colts D has bolstered their run defense as of late. Harrison was upgraded to doubtful, but, even if he plays... probably won't help the Patriots too much.

Brady is money in domes. NE actually plays better on turf, so the only home field advantage Indy has will be the crowd noise.

The Colts offense hasn't looked very good the past two weeks. Manning has thrown some key INT that his team has been able to overcome because of the play of their D... oddly enough.

Everyone locally has been discounting the last two losses to Indy. First one I agree with. Too may guys were hurt for the 40-21 blowout. Didn't really surprise me. The last loss scares me. Manning looked pretty poised facing some serious pressure. Even completed a couple of passes after scrambling out of the pocket. On another play, it appeared like he "Favred" a throw facing a huge blitz. Turns out, he threw it right to where his TE was headed about 3 seconds before he made his break. Scary.

However... I gotta assume Manning will Marty It Up under playoff pressure until he proves otherwise.

My prediction: Patriots win 23-21 on a last second 64 yd FG by Gostkowski after Manning fumbles the snap attempting a kneel down to run out the clock.

I think given how often these teams have hooked up in recent years, many times in the playoffs, there isn't anything left for Belichick to throw at the Colts offense that they haven't already seen. So I discount the Belichick factor heavily. That said, I've still got to have doubts about Peyton stepping up in the clutch until he does it, and there is no doubting that Brady can and will step up. The location factor is big in that all the prior playoff meetings were in Foxboro and this time it's in Indy. Last key factor for me is that if it comes down to a clutch kick it's now Indy who has the guy for that and not NE. So...

I don't think there's any way the Pats win this game.

If N.E. gets consistent pressure from the MIDDLE of it's D-line (up in golden boy's grille all day long) they'll be well on their way to winning.

I think there are a lot of 'intangibles' in Indy's favor though, and I believe they'll finally make it to the big dance.

I hope they enjoy the hell out of this win, because a disappointing ass-thumping awaits them in the SB.

Kind of funny how Dungy and Manning are on the same team when you think Tee Martin took over for Manning at Tennessee and won a national title and Gruden took over for Dungy in Tampa and won the Super Bowl.
