Men accused of raping girl they wooed through MySpace
Two men have been arrested on sex-abuse charges in Washington County involving a 14-year-old girl they conversed with over MySpace, a social networking Web site.

The men, Jover Mabaet, 21, and Dennis Keomoungkhoune, 21, both of Portland, met the girl in person and got to know her through the Internet site MySpace.com, which lets participants host personalized Web pages. The Internet services widely used by children who have Internet access.

The relationship was discovered by the girl's father, said Sgt. David Thompson, Washington County Sheriff's Office spokesman.

Thompson said the girl's father found the men in bed with his daughter.

Mabaet and Keomoungkhoune were arrested Friday and scheduled to be arraigned in Washington County Circuit Court this afternoon. They are each expected to be charged with multiple counts of first-degree burglary, third-degree rape and using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct.

They are held in the Washington County Jail in lieu of $370,000 bail.

Thompson said investigators think Mabaet and Keomoungkhoune may be involved with other girls they met in person or through MySpace.

Thompson said Mabaet is under investigation for a relationship he cultivated with another underage girl on MySpace.

Keomoungkhoune is a registered sex offender who served prison time in Oregon, Thompson said.

For the rest of you, the fact that none of you have responded I GUESS would make this worthy for TROTS or whatever. However, I think the subjuct matter may have hit a little too close to home for some of you. I mean, just the fact that they guy is Asian, er, "Oriental" to some of you makes him worth piling on. And he's a paedophile to boot. Who got busted on Myspace as a 21 yr old posing as a 17 yr old. And he was cocky and thought he was getting over. And still no takers? Maybe ya'll are too busy bumping all the 15 yr old profiles off your own Myspace pages.
